Renewable Revolution

Agelbert NOTE: The Valley of the God is now a rather cold and inhospitable place located at the boundary of the arctic circle on Baffin Island, Canada. I believe this is one of those rare places that, due to rapidly increasing temperatures throughout the year, will have thriving vegetation soon. There will still be the problem of the long, though much milder, winters with almost no sunlight, but due to the much higher CO2 content of Hothouse Earth, humans might be able to survive there by growing food crops and storing the surplus for winter consumption. If they can make use of geothermal energy for power, they could grow crops with artificial light in greenhouses during the winter months. If you are young and adventurous, check out the real estate on Baffin Island. I'll stay right here in Vermont, because I am neither.

The rocky valley winds down the center of the image while shark tooth shaped mountains rise on either side of the valley floor. Mount Thor is visible in the distance. Light illuminates the clouds with touches of gold against a blue sky. Overall tones are browns and greys with some ochre and white snow on higher elevations.
