Well, aside from the Eddie required ad hom towards anybody with the temerity call themselves "socialist" (i.e. "clown"), which you always seem so very inclined to engage in over, and over and over again , sprinkled with the the most extreme hyperbole you can think of (i.e. demonize said "socialist" as the banner carrier for reparations no red blooded WHITE AMERICAN would stand for - never mind the Courts and Congress and so on), does that mean you won't vote for Senator Sanders of Vermont?

I don't know his stand on reparations and frankly I do not give a damn. The (mostly  WHITE ) people of this country give a damn about stopping, AND REVERSING, the rampant CAPITALIST TRASHING of the economy and the environment on behalf of everybody that is in the top 10 percent or so. The vast majority of the blacks and browns like me have the same excellent attitude   . 

I think (and up until today, I thought that you did too) that Sanders has the credibility and gravitas to do the right SOCIALIST thing as President of the United States. That's what you said and I agree.

I don't have much of a problem with Bernie. I didn't say any thing ad hom either. Bernie is a decent man, I believe,one of principle, which is very rare inany politician of any party.

However, I don't think I could vote for Bernie if he endorsed reparations, as AOC and Kamala Harris and even Elizabeth Warren (I believe, if I'm not mistaken) have now brought in to the discussion of what should be the Democratic Party planks. Bernie did cave fast when the SJW's came after him for not letting women run his 2016 campaign. He has the problem now of not being left enough, compared to the SJW's in his own movement.

The reparations idea is a clear ploy to (a) make the SJW's happy and (b) get out the black vote. I do expect most blacks would vote for anybody who promised them free money. That's why it's a deal breaker for me. It's just pandering. More populism.

To me, a left leaning candidate who promises to give any ethnic group something for nothing is just playing at being a Hugo Chavez. The poor Indios in Venezuela who went for his free sh it pitch just got the shaft. You want to know where Venezuela went off the rails? In 1976, when they nationalized the oil.  It's been downhill ever since.

The super-rich corporate cronies in the Republican party who run this country are indeed a vile lot. But to assume the new people trying to assume leadership on the left are going to somehow make things better is probably just a pipe dream. We need to beat our nukes into plowhares, but we're just building more nukes and zillion buck airplanes and who knows what else. Using borrowed money that is demonstrably unpayable debt.

My whole point in commenting at all was just to say that the average dumbass American (of which there are too many) will run straight to Trump when they hear about the promises these stupid females are coming up with, and whatever chance we might have of electing any non-fascist will be almost zero.

If only the left could let go of all the SJW mania and all the promises to the blacks, browns, gays and gender-conflicted snowflakes, and just come up with a REASONABLE platform with one or two good promises (like universal healthcare) and not split apart over silly sh it, then maybe I could quit reading about whatever  new atrocity Trump is giving us every day.
