🦀 Trump suffers rare international rebuke in a withering statement from multiple European countries 👍

Source: rawraw story

Published 6 hours ago on October 18, 2019

Leaders from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the European Parliament, and the United States joined together on Friday to issue a damning statement condemning President Donald Trump and Turkey for the ongoing atrocities in northern Syria.

In the statement, the chairs of foreign affairs committees from each governing body said they consider Turkey’s recent incursion into Syria targeting the Kurdish people to be “military aggression and a violation of international law.”

They continued: “The Turkish offensive is causing suffering for the local people who are forced to flee and a further instability in Syria and the neighboring region.”

After effectively giving the green light to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to invade the region after withdrawing American troops more than a week ago, President Donald Trump has tried to defend his decision and claim that he is working with Turkey to resolve the conflict. But observers argued that the agreement the Trump administration reached with Erdogan on Thursday, which Vice President Mike Pence called a “ceasefire,” was in fact just a complete capitulation to Turkey’s wishes and a betrayal of the Kurds.......................................

Susan Rice just dropped the hammer on Donald Trump

Susan Rice just dropped the hammer on 🦀 Donald Trump

Bill Palmer | 10:00 am EDT October 19, 2019
Palmer Report » Analysis

Last night Donald Trump briefly stepped away from his deranged late night ranting about Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff so he could focus his rage elsewhere. Trump attacked Obama-era National Security Advisor Susan Rice shortly after she appeared on the Bill Maher show, which tells you something about Trump’s TV viewing habits last night. Trump’s attack on Rice was somewhat bizarre to begin with, and let’s just say that Rice managed to quickly get the best of him in response.

For reference, Donald Trump posted this tweet late last night: “Susan Rice, who was a disaster to President Obama as National Security Advisor, is now telling us her opinion on what to do in Syria. Remember RED LINE IN THE SAND? That was Obama. Millions killed! No thanks Susan, you were a disaster.” None of that is accurate, but with Trump, it never is. The key is that he got Rice’s attention. She replied on Twitter with this:

Then why did you come up and hug me at 2015 WHCD when I’d never met you (which was totally gross) and whisper in my ear that I had been “very unfairly treated” over Benghazi and “was doing a great job for the country”?

Wow. So not only has Donald Trump done a complete one-eighty when it comes to what he thought of the job Susan Rice did, it turns out he did this creepy weird thing to her at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Then again we’re not surprised, because Trump is in fact a creepy weirdo.

🦀 Trump Brings the Troops Home... to Iraq

WILLIAM RIVERS PITT, TRUTHOUT

Leave aside the historically bizarre tableau -- the same GOP base that helped cheerlead Bush into his 2003 invasion of Iraq is now applauding the "Bring the Troops Home" slogan of the antiwar left -- and focus on the fact that Trump is lying straight to their angry white faces. Because Trump is actually bringing the troops home... to Iraq, where they've been for a very long time.

Even Russia says Donald Trump is lying about Baghdadi

Bill Palmer | 5:45 pm EDT October 27, 2019
Palmer Report » Analysis

When the news surfaced that Donald Trump had ordered a U.S. military operation that had taken out ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, it raised a rather obvious question: how can you kill a guy who’s already been dead for two years? Now even Russia is directly accusing the Trump regime of having faked the whole thing.

Numerous media outlets reported in 2017 that Baghdadi had been killed in a bombing. In the two years since, no one had heard a peep from Baghdadi, and it was clear that he wasn’t running ISIS on any level, seemingly giving credence to the reports that he was deceased. Terrorist leaders don’t just retire from their terrorist group, right?

After Trump made his announcement today, and inexplicably thanked Russia for its supposed role in the raid, Russia fired back and said that it had no idea what Trump was talking about. The Russian Defense Ministry even went so far as to mock Trump for making “yet another” claim that Baghdadi had been killed. :D

Based on its track record, we have no reason to believe anything that Russia is saying about this raid. But based on his track record, we have no reason to believe anything that Donald Trump is saying about the raid either. If Russia isn’t willing to back up the story being told by its own puppet Trump, it suggests that Russia expects Trump’s story to unravel soon, and Russia doesn’t want to get stuck looking foolish when it does.

"We Are Going To War": Has The Final Apocalyptic Conflict Between Israel And Her Enemies Now Begun?

Wed, 11/13/2019 - 14:24

Authored by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog,

On Tuesday, terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired hundreds of rockets at Israel in retaliation for Israel’s targeted killing of the senior commander of Islamic Jihad in Gaza.  Many of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system, but quite a few got through, and some even reached as far as Tel Aviv.

Following those rocket attacks, Israeli tanks and aircraft pounded Islamic Jihad positions in the Gaza Strip, and Israeli officials are pledging to continue to respond to any additional attacks.  Unfortunately, it certainly sounds like more attacks are coming.  According to Islamic Jihad’s Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhala, his organization is “going to war” with Israel.  The following comes from the Times of Israel…

Quote
“We are going to war. [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu has crossed all the red lines in assassinating Al-Quds Brigades Commander Baha Abu al-Ata. We will respond forcefully,” PIJ Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhala told the Dar al-Hayat Arabic-language news site.

Israeli officials felt that they had no choice but to kill Baha Abu al-Ata once they had a clear opportunity to do so.  According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he was an “archterrorist” and was “the main instigator of terrorism from the Gaza Strip”.  The Israeli people are fed up with the endless rocket attacks, and so it makes sense that Israel would target the man that initiated so many of those attacks.

But to Islamic Jihad, Baha Abu al-Ata was a greatly beloved hero, and his death sent shockwaves throughout the entire Middle East.  Once news of his death got out, terrorists in Gaza fired “more than 200 rockets into Israel”…

Quote
Islamic militants in the Gaza Strip sent a barrage of more than 200 rockets into Israel Tuesday and vowed further revenge after the Israeli military carried out a pair of targeted airstrikes on senior Islamic Jihad commanders, killing one in Gaza and missing the second in Syria.

An Israeli airstrike killed Baha Abu al-Ata, 42, and his wife as they slept in their home in eastern Gaza Tuesday, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, said. Conricus added that Abu al-Ata was responsible for a number of recent rocket attacks on southern Israel and claimed he was actively planning new attacks.

In response to those rocket attacks, IDF tanks and planes absolutely pummeled Islamic Jihad military outposts…

Quote
Israeli tanks attacked three Islamic Jihad military posts in the Gaza Strip Tuesday afternoon.

An IDF spokesperson stated: “A short while ago, IDF tanks targeted three PIJ military posts in the Gaza Strip.”

The Israeli Air Force has also bombed numerous Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza in response to the firing of dozens of rockets by the terrorist organization.

And IDF spokesperson Hidai Zilberman told the press that the Israelis are “prepared for several days of battle” if it comes to that.

We shall see what happens, but it appears that we may be looking at a conflict that will last a whole lot longer that just a few days.

Islamic Jihad is promising a campaign of revenge that will “have no borders”, and it is being reported that Israel’s enemies are considering “opening a second or third front in the north”…

Quote
DEBKAfile’s sources report that when Israel’s security cabinet was convening in Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning, so too were senior officials in Tehran, Damascus and Beirut. They were discussing whether to punish Israel by opening a second or third front in the north.

The Palestinian Jihad also maintains armed forces in Syria and Lebanon, who may be conscripted in both countries for strikes against northern and central Israel in solidarity with their brothers in Gaza. The Gaza headquarters initially reacted to the death of its leader by announcing that their retaliation “would have no borders.” Then, after firing some 50 rockets, Jihad stated that as yet “unprecedented retaliation” was still to come, suggesting that Israel faced attacks from additional borders.

Of course every time Israel’s enemies escalate the conflict, Israel is going to hit back even harder.

And if this conflict escalates enough, it could pull in the Iranians and all of their close allies in the region.  In recent years, Islamic Jihad has actually forged very close ties with Tehran.  The following comes from the Jerusalem Post…

Quote
PIJ is important for Iran because Tehran’s regime often argues that it is the center of “resistance” against Israel and the US. In order to weave a narrative of “resistance,” it must show that it is actually doing something against Israel. Since Iran doesn’t like to sacrifice its own Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps members, it works through other groups. In Lebanon it supplies Hezbollah with precision guidance for its rocket arsenal; in Gaza it has relations with PIJ and also with Hamas.

At some point, Israel will find itself fighting against Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran all at the same time.

Could it be possible that we are right on the precipice of that war?

Without a doubt, many on both sides of the conflict are eager to achieve final victory.  For example, on Tuesday one activist group in Israel was openly calling for war with Hamas…

Quote
The group’s activists were seen hanging signs around the country reading, “Bibi – Give Us The Order!”

“The time has come for Israel to achieve victory over Hamas and all the terror organizations in Gaza,” said Im Tirtzu CEO Matan Peleg. “Peace is made with defeated enemies, and that’s the only way to restore quiet to the south. Today’s assassination of a senior Gazan terrorist was a step in the right direction, and now we need to take the next step and defeat the terror in Gaza once and for all.”

If rockets were constantly being fired at my family and friends, I think that my patience would be gone too.

There simply is not going to be lasting peace in the region as long as the status quo exists.  Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian government have all pledged to permanently wipe Israel off the map, and the Israelis are going to respond to every attack against them by hitting back extremely hard.

Whether it happens today, tomorrow or at some future time, the truth is that a major war is coming to the Middle East.

And once that war happens, none of our lives will ever be the same again.

The protests and reactions from the government in Iran in recent weeks have become dangerous for Iranians. This is a combustible situation, not helped by rhetoric from Donald Trump.

Sanctions against Iran are creating enemies rather than bringing Iran into some form of democratic governance.

The Cost Of The Global War On Terror: $6.4 trillion And 801,000 ☠️ Lives

Quote
“If you count all parts of the federal budget that are military related — including the nuclear weapons budget, the budget for fuel for military vehicles and aircraft, funds for veteran care — it makes up two thirds of the federal budget, and it’s inching toward three quarters,” Lutz said. “I don’t think most people realize that, but it’s important to know. Policymakers are concerned that the Pentagon’s increased spending is crowding out other national purposes that aren’t war.

By Brown University. Providence, R.I. — Nearly two decades after New York’s Twin Towers fell on 9/11, the estimated cost of America’s counterterrorism efforts stands at $6.4 trillion. That’s according to a Nov. 13 report released by the Costs of War project based at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University.

According to the report, since late 2001, the United States has appropriated and is obligated to spend $6.4 trillion on counterterrorism efforts through the end of 2020. -more-

"... , And that has made all the difference."

Robert Frost wrote the folllowing poem to his writer friend Edward Thomas as a joke.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves, no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Now that you have read the poem, please note the following relevant quote by the poem's author:

Canadian Gal 👍

"Whatever happens next, understand and never stop pointing out that Donald Trump walked into office with no crisis with Iran," said Stephen Miles, executive director of . "🦀 He then filled his cabinet with warmongers, walked away from a multilateral diplomatic accord, and purposefully engaged in 'maximum pressure.'🦀 He owns this."

Yup, totally, and I've said all that from the start.

" "🦀 Trump's Iran policy has been seeking to incite war with Iran since he reneged on the nuclear deal in May 2018," said Sina Toossi, senior research analyst with the National Iranian American Council. "If a war breaks out, the blame lies squarely with this disastrous policy and its proponents."

Yup, totally, and the bigger question is, if Trump finally gets his wet dream (a big war with his name on it that he can use to boost defense spending and steel production/manufacturing in the US) why should any country but the US pay to accomplish any of that?

But you can bet your boots that if Trump's antics cause a war to break out, he and his minions will be on the doorsteps of all the US allies Trump has spent most of the past 3 years shitting on, begging for them to pony up more money to warmonger with so that Trump's real goals can be inadvertently paid for.

I sincerely hope US "allies" tell Trump the US can unilaterally finish what he unilaterally started.

Agelbert NOTE:
There is only one solution available to the American public to solve the Trump Problem:

Quote
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. -- Matthew 12:33-37 King James Version (KJV)
