Here is a pararaph from a recent lengthy article I wrote which I published here and at the Daily KOS, which is quite picky about not violating copyright laws:

Quote
We now must apologize for interrupting this article to bore you readers with some fine print:

Agelbert NOTE: The following includes snippets of an excerpt from the excellent scientifically accurate book, "The Wave. Copyright 2010 Susan Casey. Published by Doubleday Canada, an imprint of the Doubleday Canada Publishing Group, which is a division of Random House of Canada Limited".

I am posting said snippets of said book review under Fair Use for the purpose of Commentary. I am not posting for commercial purposes. Even though Susan Casey and her publisher may benefit from my praise of her book, which provides ample evidence for increased giant wave activity, I do not benefit monetarily.

Consequently, I am sure these snippets of the book review excerpts posted below are done under Fair Use - for a limited and "transformative" purpose (i.e. Commentary) through which the public will reap benefits (it may even save thousands of lives). Nevertheless, if the Daily Kos legal eagles are concerned that I may be infringing on a copyright here, I will delete the entire article. That ends the fine print.

Hey AG, did you remove the forum tab? ???

Yep. I just wrote a long post and it got wiped accidentally. I will write it again. The short answer is I found out, after all these years  :-[, how to disable the blog front page (which I have never used) so the "home" button now takes you to the forum (which is the only place I post at).

The "Forum" button was removed by the create-a-forum software now that "Home" is here. That is what I have always wanted, but had never figured out how to do.  :P So how can I have a forum for so many years and not know all the ins and outs of it? I will explain.

This forum, which is free  ;D, was set up for me by RE, the Admin at the Doomstead Diner blog and forum. I started out there is 2012 and my "Agelbert Newz channel" (a posting area there I put all my posts) garnered a lot of views (It now has over a million views  :o).

RE liked that, but did not like my decidedly negative views on fossil fuels and peak oil, so we went round and round .

Also, the Doomstead Diner is cursed with some money loving racists, egomaniacs and defenders of the fossil fuel CRAP civilization we have, PLUS a lot of idiocy about the "benefits" of Capitalism and/or "Libertarian" BALONEY. Needless to say, I got into a lot of "friendly" discussions about God, ethics, the wrongness of being greedy, etc.

This always grew tiresome so I would go away for a while.

Now, RE and I did not get along all that well. That's why he started this forum for me here.  ;D Howevah, he did like all the beady bubbles that would go to his forum because of my posts. So, he would always try to get me to come back and be nice to the right wing arseholes at the Doomstead Diner.

To give you an idea of our, uh, "discussions" about being away ;) (i.e. walkabout) check out the following topic thread:

Disagreements on the Doomstead Diner May 15, 2015

At any rate, I had to learn how things are done here by trial and error. RE never gave me Admin status at the Doomstead Diner. I still post over there periodically to pull on their chain :D, but I really cannot stomach most of them because of their rather thinly disguised greed is good world view.

Here's one the choice graphics I have used there to let them know what I think of their world view:

OK AG
I just posted an opinion on "corruption in Government"
The "Attach-1" I can (modify) and center it but can't resize?
Also, the 3rd attachment I can't see when I go to modify so I can't center or resize?

Do you have a thread where we can chat, I don't mind posting in public but it is a distraction asking questions off topic?

I am the Admin. RE handed the Admin slot off to me. However, Create-a-Forum owns this and always will. I hate ads so I have my adblocker on all the time. Create-a-Forum doesn't like that but that's the way I roll. If you do not have an adblocker on, you will be hit with stupid ads.

I am poor. Yeah, I'm smart and have lots of knowledge but I am not out to make a buck off of that. I am simply out to do what I think God wants me to do. The day Create-a-Forum decides they don't want this forum around, it disappears. I assume that they haven't shut it down because a sprinklling of people that do not have an adblocker on visit here. That's how Creat-A-Forum makes ends meet.

You can also set up a forum just like this free. This is the Creat-a-forum hangout if you wish to go that route at some time in the future.

Use the PM (Private Message) feature ("My Messages" button).

GWarnock, I want you answer the following questions to me right now in public.

1. Are you a lawyer?

2. Are you being paid by the fossil fuel industry or some other astro-turf front group (e.g. Heritage Institute, Americans for Prosperty, etc. and other Kochroach organizations, et al) to visit this forum and pretend to share my views?

GWarnock, I am experienced in being attacked by people disingenuously pretending to share my views. If you are in that category, I respect your position, but I want you to go away, NOW.

If not, make your intentions clear. I am tired of this polite sparring you are engaging in.

If you, rather than "living to read my posts" (as you previously claimed before you began to question the legality of the posts you allegedly "live to read"), do not like the content of my posts, the door is in the same place it was when you got here. Have a nice day.

Apology accepted. I never checked your profile on Disqus so I didn't really know anything about you except that you seem to agree with me on many issues.

Now I know a little more. I agree 100% with your view of our corrupt government.

I like straight talk. If you are offended by my probing questions, tell me why. But if your skin is so thin that you will go off in a huff just because I got tired of all the questions and said so, then there is nothing I can do about that.

If you are agnostic, where is your basis for deciding what is right and what is wrong?
