Fink,
Thank you for the complement, my friend. I'm glad to be of service.  ;D

As to Bob Wallace, the stuff shirt at Cleantechnica, he is a pain the arse but he is on the side of the angels in regard to renewable energy. Rather than pulling his chain straight out, we can twist him in knots by putting some just as much fun as a jumpy animation that he will have great diffuclties criticizing or justifying deleting.

For example, when Zach the top dog there (and a very good guy), says something positive and hopeful about renewable energy technology (something he does quite often), you can jump in with these three in a row:

THAT makes it HARD FOR Bob, who is subordinate to Zach, to delete.  ;D

NOW COMES THE GOOD PART!

In the same comment, you thank Zach for working towards for a Viable Biosphere with THIS (a mega sized gif animation of a nature scene!) future for humanity. Old Bob will have to think about how to pull that down without upsetting Zach!   ;)

Here's a nice nature gif that is BiG!

Fink, if you want the code to anything posted, right click on the QUOTE button and OPEN IN NEW TAB. You can read the comment without the graphics (ALL the code will show).

I am online and available for fun and games  ;) ;D normally after 7 p.m. Let me know when you want to visit  "good old Bob" to politely get his goat so we can coordinate the "strategy".

Great idea's and sounds like fun, we can definitely do something like that, Soon I'm going to be out of town for a couple of days and don't know when I will return, Monday at the latest.
Might see if anyone else is interested too !
Meanwhile I still have to organize all the jumping things into some order.

Cheers.

Okay!  ;D

Enjoy your trip and while you are moving around, if you could plug my petition to President Obama, I would be very grateful.  Care2 has promised me THIS if I can get 500 signatures or more. I'm hoping for it to go viral.

Dear Anthony,

Your petition Demand Liberty From Fossil Fuels Through 100% Renewable Energy WWII Style Effort has received 23 signatures! It’s only been on the site for a couple of days, so now’s the time to really push for more signatures.

Millions of people use Care2, and we love sending them new and popular campaigns. If you can reach 500 signatures on your own, we'll add your petition to our list of viral campaigns and consider it for promotion to our members!

If you have a question you can't find the answer to, feel free to contact us at petitionquestions@care2team.com.

Thanks for taking the time to make a difference!

This the bare link that can be posted anywhere:

Let's put the heat on President Obama to give us a clean environment with 100% Renewable Energy. The USA has the technology and the can-do people to get this done NOW!

Hey AG, Sometimes things happen a lot quicker than anticipated, and i'm glad you mentioned your petition which is a great idea and I certainly don't mind plugging it.

I know it's only a new petition in it's early days, but have you heard of Avaaz, their petitions are global, they are send out to everyone on their mailing list and they usually get some serious numbers up in only a matter of day's.

For example the petition in the link received well over 24000 signatures in only 4 days.
Just a thought that using Avaaz may reach a larger audience in a relatively short time span.

Cheers.

Fink,
thanks!  ;D I'll check them out!

Care2 says they'll give me top billing (they have millions of members) IF I can get 500 signatures or more. I just passed 60.

Nevertheless, I will plan to set up a petition in the other site too after this one has matured somewhat. I'm hoping that my posters (they are in the gallery among a lot of other informative graphics  ;D) boost the petition when people print them, hand them out or stick them on public areas with the petition link.

Just image how much attention Renewable energy will get if we can get several million signatures to the White House in September!

Yesterday I was told by Care2 that they will e-mail all the people that signed with an update (500 words or less) plug. I sent it with a link to poster 3 in my Liberty From Fossil Fuels Through Renewable Energy Series. We'll see how that develops.

Thanks again for your encouragement and advice.

I have just added emoticons for your use, enjoyment and the application of scorn, disdain and ridicule to fossil fuelers and also a few to be used to celebrate any victories in the service of PLANET over dirty energy profits. Right click on the "quote" feature and "open in new tab" to see the code you can copy and paste to a document file. Have fun!

Hey AG thanks for the update concerning the smileys, it's not always perfectly clear which sites will and won't accept them, also that the comments themselves can end up in a moderators cue.

How is the petition going, 100% renewable energy is all good and well and has me thinking that those who really want this should not wait for big energy to provide this, but to create the alternative energy themselves, even horses are still proving to be a valid alternative on small farms.

Do you ever drop in on Popular Resistance, they have some great articles but very few comments.

Cheers F

Hi Fink,
I'm at 328 and climbing slowly but steadily. I won't deal with the other site you suggested until I finish with this one. I will then do an "update" on the present petition (just before I close it to send the signatures to the White House) and inform them of the new petition plans ( all signers get an e-mail with the update). That way I can get a boost on the next one.  ;)

However, I'm still waiting to see what Care2 does to plug the petition after I pass 500. They promised they would when I passed 500. They have 23 million people. If they plug it like they do petitions that al 23 million get through e-mails from Care2, It should go ballistic on the numbers.

When I pass 500, I'll tell them, HEY, all your concerns for animals, children ,victims of abuse and torture, prisoners, human rights, etc. mean NOTHING if we don't have a Viable Biosphere! So ALL the other petition subjects should take a back seat to this one!

I know, that's not exactly the best way to win friends and influence people.  ;D
Maybe I'll tone it down. We'll see. Also, I'm considering, depending on how it goes in the next 30 days, postponing the delivery date from September to January in order to get more signatures. We'll see.  8)

I posted a petition plug at Popular Resistance the other day. I didn't know they existed. I'm just looking for places where lots of concerned people read. Since you recommended them, I'll put them in favorites to check out from time to time, though.

When you encounter closed minded individuals on the internet, it's fun and appropriate to lead off your responses to their propaganda or otherwise establishment poobah worshipping babble with some graphics to accent your response, so to speak.  ;D

Use these graphics at your leisure (hot link below graphic):
