George Monbiot: Oil Strike
by Vox Populi
The 🦕🦖 oil 😈 companies have successfully transferred blame for their actions to us. It is time to fight back.
Let’s stop calling this the Sixth Great Extinction. Let’s start calling it what it is: the First Great Extermination. ...

... Mass dilemma actions could be our last, best chance of preventing the great extermination.

I Agree that there is a great extermination taking place. I disagree that it can be stopped, though I will do all I can to stop and reverse it, as George Monbiot 👍 and XR 👍 are doing. It ain't over till it's over. Hope springs eternal and all that.

Even if we are toast, there is, believe it or not, an upside to this.

You see, the elite  greedballs are going to die even more painfullly and horribly than the 99% that dies from Catastrophic Climate Change before they do. These elites, with their bunkers and 100 year food supplies and renewable energy powered air conditioning, water purification and so on, will get to see and experience, up close and personal, the HORROR of climate 2 degrees C on up to 10 degrees C above pre-industrial causing ALL vertebrate species to go extinct.

Since these money loving BASTARDS are in 100% "Might is right" Satanic brainfuck lockstep (see: "game theory") mode from the time they reach the age of "reason", they simply cannot wrap their materialistic heads around the consequences of industrially shitting where they eat.

So, they will only realize how abysmally stupid they have been when they see that there is NO THERE OUT THERE to rapaciously exploit when their bunker food runs out. Earth's spectacular, majestic life giving biosphere will become a polluted, toxic pile of .

In order to fully appreciate what these Hellspawn Scum of the Earth will experience when it dawns on them that THEIR ANTI-EMPATHY WORLD VIEW CAUSED THIS EXTERMINATION, picture a person waking up from a self-induced catatonic state inside a coffin buried six feet under ground.

It won't be pretty. But, it will be JUST.   They will scream in terror while desperately scratching and pushing with all their might as they lose consciousness and die from lack of oxygen in a state of total panic.

And then their real punishment will begin.

Surly, if God wants to save the biosphere, He will save it. As to TPTB Homo SAPs running this show, I see ZERO evidence that they want to save it. Therefore, it is logical for an atheist to harbor no hope for our species. Yet, with the exception of the 'Nature Bats Last' crowd, most atheists out there do not want to engage in that, from their own "god ain't there" professed world view, INESCAPABLE logic, do they? Their God is humanity. Good luck with that...

IF, and ONLY IF, TPTB experience a spiritual awakening and embrace 100% ETHICAL BEHAVIOR, there is hope. That is one way that God could intervene through the minds and hearts of humans.

You and I aren't going to talk TPTB into an embrace of ethical behavior. XR is not going to talk TPTB into an embrace of ethical behavior. Violent bloody revolution is not going convince TPTB to embrace ethical behavior either.

All the writings of every religion and philosophy that edify our discourse by repeatedly warning, in no uncertain terms, that ethical behavior is Sine qua non  for the successful perpetuation of the human family, HAVE NOT convinced TPTB to embrace ethical behavior.

God has shown the way. The most ambitious, intelligent, ethics rejecting humans have cheated, lied and murdered their way to the catbird seat. They have given God the finger. They ARE TPTB at present. Jesus Christ, while He was dying on the cross, said, "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do." Well, that is no longer the case. TPTB KNOW EXACTLY what they are doing to their fellow humans and the rest of the biosphere.

I can't speak for God, but it don't look good for humanity, bro.

Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law. Ps 119:136

AMERICAN & CHRISTIAN CULTURE, END TIMES

Could American Evangelicals Spot the Antichrist?

Here Are the Biblical Predictions: 👍

I've reviewed every prophecy on the Antichrist, and what I read 👀 blew my mind:

By Benjamin L. Corey  90 Comments

Does the Bible predict the future with stunning accuracy as so many in the end-times camp have claimed? 🤔

I grew up in the rapture-me-outta-here end times movement, and have spilled no shortage of ink critiquing it– even poking a bit of fun at it. As a theologian I fall into a category of belief that sees biblical prophecies about “the end” as being events that have mostly been fulfilled in the past, but I try to hold that belief gently and recognize I could be wrong.

Many of my fellow Christians in America have warned me over the years of exactly that, often telling me: “I feel sorry for you, because when the Antichrist comes you’re not even going to recognize him!”

To honor those who have given me such warning, I decided to spend the past week studying the most significant biblical prophecies and descriptions typically believed by my conservative friends to refer the Antichrist. If my evangelical friends are correct, and if it’s entirely possible that the Antichrist is on the global scene today, I certainly wouldn’t want to be the only person in the room who didn’t recognize the Antichrist when I saw him.

In case you too are a bit rusty in the area of biblical predictions about the coming Antichrist and don’t want to be oblivious if such a person were to arise, consider me your chief antichristologist who is more than happy to help you out.

Here are the no-kidding-not-satire-prophecies and signs of the antichrist the Bible tells us to watch out for… and that blew my mind by the time I was done:

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will be the leader of a nation that is a military superpower with the ability to trample and crush the entire earth.

“The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.”
Daniel. 7:23

This verse helps us start by narrowing down the nations and times the Antichrist could come from. The passage directly states he is from a nation that was different from times before, in that it was powerful enough to crush and destroy the entire earth– likely a nuclear superpower. Revelation also speaks of the Antichrist and his prophet having the power to “call down fire from the sky,” which further supports this notion.

Thus, when considering the prophecy in light of the modern world, it most likely leaves Russia or the United States, as both have over 6,000 warheads with remaining nuclear nations having under a few hundred. Furthermore, Revelation 17:15 describes the Antichrist coming from a place where there are “multitudes of peoples, nations, and languages” which would most accurately depict a “melting pot” nation like the United States.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will be a man who is exceptionally arrogant and will be known for giving boastful speeches.

“I could hear his boastful speech…”
Daniel 7:8, Revelation 13:5

So, as you keep your eyes peeled for the Antichrist, be sure to keep in mind that it won’t be a quiet leader who is deceitfully humble and flies under the radar– The Bible says it will be someone who loves to give speeches where he boasts about himself.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will be someone known for making a lot of public threats against people.

“…had a mouth like that of a lion.”
Revelation 13:2, Daniel. 7:4

As we begin to assemble the biblical prophecies, Christians on guard should be looking for a king-like figure who loves to boast about himself, but who also loves to go around roaring like a lion– things like threats to his enemies and a constant verbal flexing of muscle.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will come from among 7 tall “hills” that each act as a “head.”

“And I saw a beast coming out of the sea with ten horns and seven heads, which stood for seven hills”
Revelation 13:1, Ch. 17

John described the Antichrist (beast) “rising up from the sea” as he looked out from the Island of Patmos in a supernatural vision. The Bible describes the beast as having 7 heads, which symbolized 7 “hills” that stood up high. Hills also are metaphorical for places of power in the Bible.

So, if the Antichrist were to come in the present age, we’d be most likely looking for an American president known for being exceptionally arrogant, boastful, and threatening others, but who also came from 7 tall “hills” or places of power… one of which would need to be somewhere in the vicinity of where John was looking out into the ocean where the vision occurred.

Huh… well this is a super weird coincidence:

Seven heads? Maybe like potential head-quarters?

Well, funny thing again: while Donald Trump owns at least ten skyscrapers that I’m aware of, apparently only seven of them are formally named Trump Towers:

Trump Tower, NYC

Trump International Hotel and Tower, Chicago

Trump Towers, Istanbul

Trump International Hotel and Tower, Toronto

Trump World Tower, New York

Trump Towers, Sunny Isles Beach

Trump Tower, Manila

And this is a little bizarre, but in John’s vision he said that the 7 heads had horns on them– some had just one, some had two… kinda like those antennas on top.

Wow, and you know what? John’s vision also said that the seven heads all had someone’s name written across them. Interesting!

And let’s not even open the can of worms regarding the building on 5th ave… Yeah, the same deal that was bailed out by Justice Kennedy’s son before Kennedy surprised everyone and retired– giving Trump what had been a swing vote on the Supreme Court. #PowerMove

Bummer of an address Jared! Glad you were able to offload that.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will cause people all over the globe to be filled with wonder and “follow” him.

“The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast.”
Revelation. 13:3

This verse also speaks to the likelihood the coming of the Antichrist is more likely to be in the modern world instead of the ancient one. 2,000 years ago it would not have been possible for people all over the globe to become fascinated by a political leader, let alone “follow” them.

_____________________________________________________________

Okay, I get it…

Some predictions and prophecies can be like horoscopes: they can appear to apply to anyone.

And I’m with you… when you get into stuff like numerology and interpreting seven-headed beasts, it’s hard to know if something is an eerie coincidence, or just plain silly.

I’d honestly started this post intending to be silly, and during my research began to find the coincidences and certain numbers happening to match a bit amusing the first few times. But at a certain point the coincidences added up or got too specific, and it wasn’t funny anymore– it was deeply unsettling.

And by the end? Well, stick with me as the prophecies grow more specific, and you’ll see why my mind was a bit blown– and why as a Christian my spirit was deeply unsettled by the the end of it:

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will be a political outsider with despicable character and a contemptuous personality who wins an election that no one expects him to win.

“… a despicable person will arise… a man of contempt… to whom the royal honor has not been rightfully conferred. He will slip in when least expected and will seize the kingdom through flattery and intrigue.”
Daniel 11:21

When looking to identify the Antichrist, the Bible starts to help us with some really specific prophecies. Based on what the Bible predicts, a most likely scenario for the arrival of the Antichrist would be a candidate for president who came from the private sector (not of ‘royal’ background) being found with despicable morality along with a contemptuous personality, who campaigned on flattery and lies– but somehow went on to win an election no one expected him to win… leaving the country stunned.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will give speeches where he speaks “great things” and then about things that are even “greater.”

“He had a mouth that spoke great things, and that seemed greater than its companions…”
Daniel 7:20

Starting to get weird now, isn’t it? This is about the point I got goosebumps and a little freaked out also.

Yes, in warning us of the Antichrist the Bible predicts in both Daniel and Revelation that when the Antichrist comes, he’ll not only be the contemptuous and arrogant political outsider who pulls an upset in the election– but warns us that he’ll specifically be speaking of “great” and “greater” things along the way.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist comes to power through collusion with a secret alliance who uses disinformation to help him win– even though he has a minority number of supporters.

“After an alliance is made with him he will practice deception, and he will go up and gain power with a small force of people.”
Daniel 11:23

So, you know… according to God’s holy and infallible word and all, one of the other major signs to warn us of the arrival of the Antichrist would be an election where someone won with fewer supporters, and where it was also proven that an evil outside power meddled with the process to specifically put that person in office.

But I can’t imagine the country would turn a blind eye if that ever happened, especially for my evangelical friends who tell me we need to always be on guard for the arrival of the Antichrist.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist’s rise to power will seem like a miracle that God performed, tricking people into following Satan instead of God without even noticing.

“The arise in power of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie.”
2 Thess. 2:9

Evil is evil, but evil is not stupid… or at least, Satan isn’t. When the time comes to make his power move in the human story, he’ll find a way to not only make evil palatable– he’ll try the ultimate bait and switch by making God himself seem responsible for this evil. What better way to get a hit in, than to do it and make it look like God actually did it?

When the Antichrist comes, be sure to look for powerful religious folk claiming it was a miracle from God:

Quote
“He did everything wrong, politically. He offended gays. He offended women. He offended the military. He offended black people. He offended the Hispanic people. He offended everybody! And he became president of the United States. Only God could do that.”
Franklin Graham
False Prophet

_____________________________________________________________

As president, the Antichrist will immediately find ways to make himself and his friends richer– and he will do it in a way no president had ever done before.

“Then he will distribute among his followers the plunder and wealth of the rich—something his predecessors had never done.”
Daniel 11:24

In this verse the Bible continues down the path of helping us get more specific about the rise of the Antichrist so we won’t miss it when we see it: He says that the Antichrist will be unique from all other presidents before him in the way he will be able to use the presidency to instantly get richer and toss lots of money over to his friends.

While all modern presidents are wealthy, and politicians give kick-backs, Daniel indicates something will be different about this president and that he will uniquely profit off the presidency in a way that previous presidents never imagined.

This prophecy could likely only be fulfilled if a rich business person were to win a deceptively influenced election, and then serve as president with some sort of business structure that got he and his friends richer and richer just from being president.

If such a thing were to ever occur, you might likely hear a government oversight body state something to the effect of: “The president has turned the government of the United States into a money-making operation for his family, his friends and himself.”

_____________________________________________________________

Once in power the Antichrist will reveal that his heart wants to make alterations to the “appointed times” that are in current laws.

“He will try to change the set times and the laws.”
Dan. 7:25

What’s fascinating is that the Bible never tells us he actually succeeds or does change the appointed cycles, but that he expresses wanting to change them. What would it look like to express an interest in changing laws around cycles and appointed times? It would likely be that the Antichrist will want to change elections, skip an election, or extend term limits, etc, thus what the Bible says of “intending to alter laws for appointed times…”

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will make fake news popular and will be a chronic liar. His followers will believe his delusions because they hate the truth.

“He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior… He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.”
Daniel 8:25, 2 Thess 2:10

Daniel 8 and 2nd Thessalonians 2 are incredibly descriptive warnings to help us recognize the Antichrist. Predicting that under his rule “deceit will prosper” warns us to look for someone who calls the truth “fake news” and who is known for constantly lying.

In fact, the Antichrist lies so much that the Bible stops calling him the Antichrist and starts calling him The Liar– using the definite article for effect– as if he begins to personify fake news and lies.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will reward those who are completely loyal with powerful positions and lucrative real estate deals.

“He will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will sell them land at a price.”
Daniel 11:39b

No kidding: the Bible predicts the Antichrist will be someone who negotiates powerful real estate deals with his friends.

The Antichrist is someone in need of constant affirmation, so the Bible predicts he will use his position to surround himself with blind loyalists who honor and submit to him.

To spot the Antichrist as the Bible predicts, look for a president who gives high level positions away on the basis of personal loyalty. While all politics involve a level of this, the Bible calls the Antichrist a worthless shepherd’ so he will likely have a cabinet of leaders in disarray and incompetence, with many being blatantly unqualified or even a bunch of them going to jail.

If that’s not enough to help us identify the Antichrist, the Bible throws us a major bone: He’ll be a president experienced at negotiating land and property deals, and he’ll have access to plenty to buy and sell.

While some prophecies are general enough to fit certain leaders here and there, thankfully the Bible give us some rather specific clues to also look for– like a rich and arrogant political outsider who happens to be in the business of negotiating land and property deals.

_____________________________________________________________

The Bible says that we’ll be able to spot the Antichrist because he will give an arrogant public speech in the middle of his first term where he boasts of “great things” but also uses God’s name as a curse in the same speech.

“And there was given to him a mouth speaking of ‘great things’ and blasphemous words… and he opened his mouth saying terrible things and blasphemed the name of God.”
Revelation 13:5-6

I mean, if this were to happen all my end-times friends would spot it, wouldn’t they? Revelation 13 very specifically tells us that somewhere in the middle of his first three and a half years in office, the Antichrist will give a very specific and telling speech: he will arrogantly brag of his accomplishments and ‘great’ things, and will also use God’s name in a way considered to be blasphemy.

This would be exceedingly eye-brow-raising for any serious Antichrist hunter, were this to ever happen in a presidential speech… right?

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will draw strong support from many Christians as if they are willfully blind and outright delusional.

“For false Christs and false prophets will arise and appear to perform ‘great’ signs and wonders so as to lead astray, if possible, God’s own people. He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction…”
Matt. 24:24, 2nd Thess 2:10

Sorry, but I’m old enough to remember when revivals were for God and blasphemy was a serious sin.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will spend his first term in office having an ongoing feud with the leadership of the nation on his southern border.

“He will stir up his strength and courage against the king of the South…”
Daniel 11:25

Creepy coincidence? The entire Antichrist narrative of Daniel 11 is situated around a conflict along the southern border where the Antichrist is wanting something that the king to his south wont give him. Based on the whole of Antichrist prophecies and the common thread of money and greed, it certainly appears to be money that he wants from the nation to his south…

The Bible predicts that negotiating a deal will be hopeless, as neither side is willing to budge. The Antichrist hates the leadership south of his border and hates his people. Not surprisingly, the Bible says they aren’t big fans of the northern king (v11:27). Scripture tells us that negotiations never get off the ground, as kings to the south don’t want to give the Antichrist anything.

It also says that the Antichrist will go down to the southern border as things heat up– there is a crisis where both sides have troops along the southern border– and that the Antichrist will return home with a large sum of money shortly after.

Another interesting coincidence: in April 2019 Trump toured the southern border and returned home days later to the Pentagon awarding him $1 billion toward his border wall.

The Bible also says that even though the Antichrist will come home with a large sum of money, that he’s even more furious about things after.

Maybe the money wasn’t enough for what he wanted and didn’t know where the rest would come from?

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will be so angry at the king to his south that he will decide to intentionally inflict harm on that ethnic group in retaliation.

“He will set himself against the people… doing much damage before continuing his journey.”
Daniel 11:28

Yes, you’re tracking with me correctly: the Bible predicts the Antichrist will be an arrogant political outsider who talks about “great” and “greater” things, who wins an election where he has less supporters due to the election being tampered with, who then instantly gets rich off the presidency and spends his time in a feud with the president across from his southern border.

And yes, the Bible actually says that after negotiations fail at the souther border he decides to get even by intentionally inflicting harm and distress on that ethnic group.

Get ready to have your mind blown with what Zechariah’s prophecy about the coming Antichrist says on this matter, especially in light of what Daniel tells us regarding the Antichrist’s retaliation along the border:

“There will be a leader over the land who will not help the ones who are dying.

He will not go looking for the young who got lost, or care for the children.

He won’t help the ones who are sick or broken, or even give nourishment to the hungry ones who are still healthy.”

– Zechariah 11:16-17

Children being ripped from their parents as a deterrent from crossing into the “northern kingdom,” refugees being locked in cages without adequate care, some dying in our custody, children still missing or given for adoption even though they weren’t orphans?

Yeah, the Bible references the “worthless shepherd” who will do that– AKA: the Antichrist.

Still need a few more warning signs from the Bible as to the identity of the Antichrist? Apparently God doesn’t want us to miss it, because the last few drive it all home:

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will be furious over “rumors and reports” that come from the east and north, and will fly into fits of rage as the reports surface.

“But reports will trouble him from the east and north, and he will set out in a tremendous rage to destroy and wipe out many.”
Daniel 11:44

That’s right: In the middle of the Antichrist’s feud along the southern border he will hear troubling “rumors and reports” that specifically come from the eastern and the northern parts of the country.

The Bible goes on to predict the rumors will “frighten” him and leave him so furious, that he has fits of rage and will want to destroy people over the reports.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will appear to receive a wound he can’t recover from, but will survive to put down the first attempts to remove him from office.

“[He] appeared to be fatally wounded, but the fatal wound was healed– and the whole world was amazed.”
Revelation 13:3

And of course, when Trump squeaked by in the Russia investigation due to internal DOJ policy which doesn’t allow the indictment of a sitting president, everyone– most especially those who are too young to remember the OJ Simpson murder trial– was completely amazed he survived what very clearly seemed to be a fatal wound to his presidency.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will have the nation’s most powerful religious leader influencing the country for him. This leader will try to convince Christians that the Antichrist is “God’s pick” and that we need to support him.

“And then I saw a second beast come from the Earth who looked like a lamb but spoke like a dragon… and it deceived the inhabitants of the Earth…”

Revelation 13:11–12

The Bible predicts the Antichrist will survive the near-fatal wound to his rule, but then goes on to tell us he will need the most powerful religious leader in the country to help him solidify support among the religious in order to stay in power– specifically around the 3 1/2 year mark.

3 1/2 year mark? That’s re-election season. Interesting!

The prophecy describes a political/religious alliance where the most influential religious leader in the country goes around speaking to large crowds, displaying any and all religious credentials he can muster, in order to generate support for the Antichrist rule to last more than just 3/12 years.

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will see himself as being above everyone else, as if he had no need for God. He will eventually elevate himself as the God and King of Israel

“And he will exalt himself above all… so that he sets himself up in God’s own temple in Israel, proclaiming himself to be God.”
2nd Thess 2:4, Rev 17

However… it’s hard to imagine this actually happening. I don’t know if I’ve ever met a professing Christian who saw themselves as being so flawless or had zero reverence for God. Well, take that back– never mind the admission that he’s “never seen a need” to ask God forgiveness for anything, or saying, “Why should I repent if I haven’t done anything wrong?” just TODAY he did something that seemed unthinkable…

Here’s Donald Trump, just as the Bible predicts, setting himself up like he’s the God and King of Israel:

Beyond words. This is what Antichrist looks like.

But you know what? He is not the God of Israel. He doesn’t worship or even know the God of Israel.

But are you ready for some Antichrist trolling about 2,600 years in the waiting?

Well, we know the Antichrist hates God and doesn’t worship him– but the Bible *does* actually let us in on a secret and tells us who the Antichrist does worship… and spoiler: it’s not actually Satan.

Drum roll please…..

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist will worship the god of border walls.

For real. The Bible actually says that.

“He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. Instead of them, he will honor a god no one will have heard of before: the god of fortresses. And he will worship this god with a lot of money.”
Daniel 11:37-38

You can’t even make this stuff up– yes, the Bible *actually* says that instead of worshipping the true God, the Antichrist will worship an unknown god of “fortresses.”

What does this word “fortress” literally translate to?

Border walls that secure a city or country, that’s what.

Yes, the Bible says the Antichrist will worship the god of border walls.

Some commentaries argue it’s not even referencing a real deity (though some think it was the ‘god of towers’ like a gate tower), but instead note that it is likely the Antichrist will be so obsessed with a border wall, worshipping it with a lot of money, that it functionally becomes his god.

Yup- trolling from long-since-dead-guys. Priceless!

_____________________________________________________________

The Antichrist’s most devoted followers will wear a sign of their allegiance to him on their foreheads.

“And they received a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads…”
Revelation 13

And we all thought it was going to be a barcode or chip….

And the final biblical prophecy on the Antichrist:

_____________________________________________________________

… But the people who truly know God and remain faithful, will firmly “resist” him.

"With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him."
Daniel 11:32

Yup– even the name of our movement is mentioned in the Antichrist narrative.

So in the end, what do I believe theologically on the subject of eschatology after this research project?

I don’t know yet.

But what I do know is this: If the Antichrist comes, I’m not going to be the one guy in the room who doesn’t recognize him.

SNIPPET:

First Lady Melania’s publicly demonstrated distaste for him.  It’s entirely conceivable that she would not cry if Donald was injured and, in fact, she might celebrate it on some level. This woman is married to one of the most odious men in the entire world. He’s an avowed sexual predator, a deeply unempathetic man, a lazy father, and an incompetent leader. There is quite literally nothing to love about Donald J. Trump.

Read more:

Agelbert Comment: Hmmmm. Is Trump planning to stage a "miraculous recovery" from a head wound inflicted by a "leftist commie gunman"? That would raise his approval rating and demoralize Democrats for sure. That said, if Trump really is Satan's homeboy, there is a bit more to that action, whether staged or real, than meets the eye.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? - Revelation 13:3-4 King James Version (KJV)

If these "Evangelical Christian Leadership" lickspittle lackeys are NOW willing to stoop to the following, image their fervor after their hero recovers from a "Socialist/Leftist/DemocRAT/Commie Conspiracy to do God's anointed" in.

The antichrist recovers from a terrible injury Revelation 13:3

A beast normally means a strong wild animal, but this beast is a special description of the antichrist. The antichrist is an evil ruler who will gain control over the whole world shortly before Christ’s return.

The antichrist’s power and authority will become very great, but then something terrible will happen. In the word-picture, John describes this as a terrible injury to one of the beast’s seven heads. That could mean a physical injury or a loss of power. It will seem as if the antichrist cannot recover. However, the antichrist will recover by the devil’s power; in fact, he will become even stronger. Now his authority over the whole world will be complete.

There is nothing attractive about the word-pictures that John uses to mean the devil and the antichrist. John refers to the devil as the ‘dragon’. A dragon was the worst kind of wild animal that people could imagine. John calls the antichrist (Christ’s enemy who leads the whole world to follow the devil), the ‘beast’. A beast means a wild animal; John’s description of this beast is very terrible and awful.

However, people give honour here not to God, but to the devil and to the antichrist. They praise them not because of anything good, but because they are so evil. They praise the antichrist because he is so cruel and powerful. They have seen how his terrible injury healed (verse 3). Now they believe that nobody - not even God - will be able to defeat him.

They praise the devil because he gave the antichrist authority to rule the whole world. It is the natural result of every evil act that the devil receives honour. However, this is much worse, because the people are praising the devil on purpose. We have already read that people would give honour to evil spirits and to images (9:20). Now they will choose the devil himself to be their god. They have believed a powerful lie (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). They imagine that the devil will support them in their war against God (see Psalm 2:1-3). They believe that the devil and the antichrist are, together, powerful enough to defeat God. Of course, this idea is completely wrong.

It is good to know my stubborn consistent claim (i.e. the only phone I need is the one connected to a land line) is better for the biosphere than buying a "smart" ::) phone. Gandhi said the following:

My wife and I have always done our best to do that. I am sure that is sine qua non to our happiness in the afterlife. It gives us peace of mind. However, due to the massive wave of selfishness and greed enveloping our species in these times, that has not done SQUAT to make the world a cleaner, safer, better place.

For a time I thought it would. I was wrong. But, that takes nothing away from the validity of Gandhi's words. There is no hope for human civilization as long as people are more concerned with this life than they are with being a success in the afterlife. WHY? Because, as long everything a person DOES is predicated on the probability of a successful outcome in this plane of existence, the only logical behavior is cowardly self interest (i.e. "Might equals Right").

I am past three score and ten. I can tell you that I have had to interact carefully, just to survive, with American Fascists since I was a kid in Kansas. While it is true that most of them branded themselves using other labels (Southerners, Republicans, John Birchers, Libertarians, Capitalists, Supply Siders, Trickle Down "Theory" Proponents, Moral Majority, "Christians" - in name only, Reagan Democrats, etc.), their joy in finding new and "better" ways to single out anyone that wasn't part of the "in crowd" for gratuitous mocking, micro-aggressions, ostracism, orchestrated penury through preventing the hiring of to good jobs, trumped up charges resulting in firing from good jobs, and/or in-your-face cruelty identifies them.

While they are not quite the majority in the USA, they are a significant percentage of the population. They are MOSTLY NOT, as many left leaning people with big hearts claim, confused, uneducated, ignorantly racist or unenlightened; they know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. Evidence of that is their consistent good neighborly care and consideration for those who they consider part of the "in crowd".

They are simply evil, which is another word for coward. Scratch a bully, and just below the surface you'll find a coward.

The American Empire may be in retreat, but EVIL among humans in America (and the rest of the world) is on the march, not retreating.

"Lord , Let Your Arm Strengthen Trump": A Televangelist Is on White House Payroll

WILLIAM RIVERS PITT, TRUTHOUT

Donald Trump is desperate and cornered. What better balm for a man afflicted with rampant egotism than to hear from a "holy person" that he has been chosen to wear the mantle of Heaven, and that all who oppose him are not merely wrong, but an offense to God? Televangelist Paula White is now on the White House payroll, and she has launched an initiative to pray away impeachment.

There is a special place in Hell for the evil bastards, posing as Christian Pastors, who run the MegaChurches pushing the "greed is good" Prosperity Preaching Doctrine of Demons in the USA. Those evil bastards and their supporters laugh when they read comments like mine. They never did take anything written in the Bible they sanctimoniously (selectively ) quote seriously, so that is no surprise. Here's an Old Testament quote, that you will NEVER hear in a MegaChurch, that describes these "Pastor" Servants of Satan perfectly:

For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. Psalm 10:4-11

Yeah, they think the world is their oyster. Something tells me that, very soon now, they are going to be very disappointed. In fact, the way things are going (i.e. ) in the world today, several of those evil bastards on the list will experience a well deserved dose of justice before they finish their blasphemous soul of perdition demonic tour of duty on Earth.

"With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him."Daniel 11:32

Such quotes are studiously ignored as they preach the "prosperity gospel."

Yep. The early Christian Church had their number (Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. -- 1 John 2:15). Real Christians still do.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. -- 1 John 2:18-19

Saw this yesterday. Apparently adherence to Christian ethics skips a generation in then Graham clan.

There are real Christians who have always known the score about the Trumpers who claim to be "Christians". This latest article from Christianity Today makes it clear to the Fake Christian Trump Cult that they are not going to back down an INCH from the correct Christian condemnation of ANTI-Christian 🦀 Trump and his pack of 😈 greedy, racist followers.

Real Christians are often accused of having a "rigid" personality because they will not back down when they make the claim that the gross immorality of a politician makes said politician unfit for office. Christians are called "hypocrites" for taking this position, as Christianity Today did in regard to Clinton, and now is doing, with still greater Christian Faith based justification, with Fascist Demagogue Donald J. Trump. I call it having a Christian moral compass, otherwise known as a spine.

Our  so-called "magical" God is far more REAL than the "situational ethics" (SEE: "dial your own moral reality", "If it feels good do it", "more is better, no matter who you take advantage of to get yours") crowd polluting BOTH mainstream political parties and most of what passes for reason based intellectual discourse in American universties.

God reveals, to anyone willing to humble themselves and listen (an 'examined life' basic tenet - see Cornel West video after article - of Christianity that, thanks to the methodical U.S. Corporate Fascist Corruption of Christianity from kindergarten on up, most hubris and pride filled Americans reject as "Un-American"), what is sine qua non behavior for a Christian.

While it is possible to live an examined life and not be a Christian, it is impossible to be a Christian and not lead an examined life.

You cannot honestly call yourself a Christian if you do not lead an examined life. Trump and his evil supporters eschew the examined life with every fiber of their money worshipping being.

This is not hard to figure out. I celebrate this renewed clarity of what is Christian morality and how, exactly, the Trump Administration is the destructivly evil antithesis of Christian morality by Christianity Today. I'm looking forward to an article condemning the Pence fake Christian Trump lackey as ALSO unfit for public office.

In the name of Jesus Christ, GO GET EM'!

The Flag in the Whirlwind: An Update from CT’s President

Why our editor in chief spoke out against Trump, and why the conversation must continue.

By TIMOTHY DALRYMPLE

DECEMBER 22, 2019

Reader responses to Mark Galli’s recent editorial have spanned the spectrum. We have received countless notes of encouragement from 🕊 readers who were profoundly moved. They no longer feel alone. They have hope ✨ again. Many have told us of reading the editorial with tears in their eyes, sharing it with children who have wandered from the faith, rejoicing that at last 🕊 someone was articulating what they felt in their hearts. They felt this was a watershed moment in the history of the American church—or they hoped it would prove to be. Stay strong, they told us, knowing we were about to reap the whirlwind.

On the other hand, we have heard from many readers who felt incensed and insulted . These readers felt the editorial engaged in character assassination, or maligned a broad swath of our fellow evangelicals, or revealed that we prefer the Democrats to a  President 😇 who has done a lot of good for causes we all care about.

Of course, we appreciate the support and listen humbly to the criticisms. But at the end of the day, we write for a readership of One. God is our Tower. Let the whirlwind come.

President Donald Trump would have you believe we are “far left.” Others have said we are not Bible-believing Christians. Neither is true. Christianity Today is theologically conservative. We are pro-life and pro-family. We are firm supporters of religious liberties and economic opportunity for men and women to exercise their gifts and create value in the world. We believe in the authority of Scripture.

We are also a global ministry. We travel the world and see the breadth and depth of what God is doing through his people all around the planet. It is beautiful, and breathtaking, and immense. The global Body of Christ—and the community of evangelicals—is vastly larger than our domestic political squabbles. But partly on behalf of that global body, we can no longer stay silent.

American evangelicals have always been a loose coalition of tribes. We have fought one another as often as we have fought together. We at Christianity Today believe we need to relearn the art of balancing two things: having a firm opinion and inviting free discussion. We need, in other words, both a flag and a table.

First, then, the flag. Numerous reporters have asked whether the ministry supports what was stated in the editorial. Was Mark Galli speaking on behalf of the institution? CT does not have an editorial board. Editors publish under their own names. Yet Galli has stood in the trenches for men and women of faith for over three decades. He has been an outstanding editor in chief. While he does not speak for everyone in the ministry—our board and our staff hold a range of opinions—he carries the editorial voice of the magazine. We support CT’s editorial independence and believe it’s vital to our mission for the editor in chief to speak out on the issues of the day.

As an institution, Christianity Today has no interest in partisan politics. It does not endorse candidates. We aim to bring biblical wisdom and beautiful storytelling both to the church and from the church to the world. Politics matter, but they do not bring the dead back to life. We are far more committed to the glory of God, the witness of the church, and the life of the world than we care about the fortunes of any party. Political parties come and go, but the witness of the church is the hope of the world, and the integrity of that witness is paramount.

Out of love for Jesus and his church, not for political partisanship or intellectual elitism, this is why we feel compelled to say that the alliance of American evangelicalism with this presidency has wrought enormous damage to Christian witness. It has alienated many of our children and grandchildren. It has harmed African American, Hispanic American, and Asian American brothers and sisters. And it has undercut the efforts of countless missionaries who labor in the far fields of the Lord. While the Trump administration may be well regarded in some countries, in many more the perception of wholesale evangelical support for the administration has made toxic the reputation of the Bride of Christ.

Galli’s editorial focused on the impeachment, but it was clear the issues are deeper and broader. Reasonable people can differ when it comes to the flagrantly partisan impeachment process. But this is not merely about impeachment, or even merely about President Trump. He is not the sickness. He is a symptom of a sickness that began before him, which is the hyper-politicization of the American church. This is a danger for all of us, wherever we fall on the political spectrum. Jesus said we should give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s. With profound love and respect, we ask our brothers and sisters in Christ to consider whether they have given to Caesar what belongs only to God: their unconditional loyalty.

Let me protect against two misunderstandings. The problem is not that we as evangelicals are associated with the Trump administration’s judicial appointments or its advocacy of life, family, and religious liberty. We are happy to celebrate the positive things the administration has accomplished. The problem is that we as evangelicals are also associated with President Trump’s rampant immorality, greed, and corruption; his divisiveness and race-baiting; his cruelty and hostility to immigrants and refugees; and more.In other words, the problem is the wholeheartedness of the embrace.  It is one thing to praise his accomplishments; it is another to excuse and deny his obvious misuses of power.

Similarly, this is neither a criticism of the evangelical Trump voter nor an endorsement of the Democrats. The 2016 election confronted evangelical voters with an impossible dilemma: Vote for a pro-choice candidate whose policies would advance so much of what we oppose, or vote for an extravagantly immoral candidate who could well damage the standing of the republic and the witness of the church. Countless men and women we hold in the highest regard voted for President Trump, some wholeheartedly and some reluctantly.

Friends we love and respect have also counseled and worked within the Trump administration. We believe they are doing their best to serve wisely in a fallen world.

We nevertheless believe the evangelical alliance with this presidency has done damage to our witness here and abroad. The cost has been too high. American evangelicalism is not a Republican PAC. We are a diverse movement that should collaborate with political parties when prudent but always standing apart, at a prophetic distance, to be what Martin Luther King, Jr. called “the conscience of the state.” That is what we believe. This is where we plant our flag. We know we are not alone.

Now, to the table. A table is a place of welcome, a place where bread is broken and friendships are forged. In a political landscape dominated by polarization, hostility, and misunderstanding, we believe it’s critical for Christians to model how to have a firm opinion and host free discussion at the same time. Evangelicals of different stripes cannot continue to shout one another down, bully those who disagree, or exclude one another and refuse to listen.

We hold fast to our view that the wholehearted evangelical embrace of Trump has been enormously costly—but we are committed to irenic conversation with men and women of good faith who believe otherwise. (And since an open letter was published even as we were preparing to publish this statement, let me simply say that I appreciate the thoughts it expresses, and I hope this statement too can be the beginning of a dialogue.)

In the words of Proverbs 27:6, “faithful are the wounds of a friend” (ESV). Deeply aware of our own sinfulness and limitations, we are going to invite supporters and critics alike to produce essays agreeing or disagreeing with our stated views. It is time for evangelicals to have a serious discussion about how our identity as Christians shapes our activity as citizens. We will invite authors who represent a variety of viewpoints in a thoughtful and charitable manner. We will publish those essays in mid-January. We hope we can come together in convicted humility and learn from one another.

Now it is time for Christmas. Christ is still the light that shines upon a people living in darkness. We look forward to resuming the conversation soon.

The flag is planted. The table is set. We invite you to join us at either one.

Timothy Dalrymple is president and CEO of Christianity Today.

Earth Day 2020 😞

Quote
What these scientists are offering us are technological expressions of their own supercharged sense of desperation.

Agelbert NOTE: This was written before the COVID-19 triggered Global Neoliberal = Capitalist = Fascist caused Economic Collapse. It accurately predicted the present (and ongoing) COVID-19 response of the elite. Now inevitable, the increasingly deadly consequences of Catastrophic Climate Change will be addressed, not in rational viable biosphere, multi-species preserving and protecting cooperative stewardship by caring humans, but by, as the article warns, "... the increasing insulation of the world's wealthy minority from the rest of humanity -- buying protection for their fortressed communities from the Halliburtons, Bechtels and Blackwaters of the world while the majority of the poor are left to scramble for survival among the ruins."

The elite greedballs, after they have watched most of the biosphere (and we-the-people) perish, will also perish from the inevitably destructive consequences of making a religion out of Social Darwinism. The author of the article is probably, unlike me, an atheist. That said, I acknowledge that he is a man of Godly principles who can discern perfectly well between ethical and unethical behavior. He knows that unethical behavior is TOTALLY embraced by TPTB, and does not shy away from the facts. That is why he is so depressed. I am depressed too but I understand what all the Happy Talk "Ascent of Man" Darwinists studiously refuse to accept, despite all the biological DNA DEGRADATION EVIDENCE in their arrogant intellimoron faces. That is, that mankind has DEVOLVED, not "evolved".

It is the height of straw grasping irrelevance for the "Might equals Right" Social Darwinist true believers to arrogantly mock whatever it was that happened in the (metaphorical or real) Garden of Eden that resulted in the indisputably FALLEN NATURE of HUMANITY. Anyone with critical thinking skills cannot fail to see how self-destructive to the biosphere and ourselves our species is.

Human "civilization" is, cell phones, computers and all, indisputable evidence of how rapidly, just in the last century, we have devolved into increasingly destructive forms of EVIL behavior, never mind before that.

It is an insult to the animal kingdom to equate Profit Over People and Planet Greedballs with "animals". No animal on earth, for as long as this biosphere has been functioning since its creation, would ever cause the wanton rampage of destruction that humanity is responsible for.

Though the author of this article cannot bring himslef to do it, it is HIGH TIME that what humanity has done to God's Garden be called by its appropriate name: SIN. You can tack on several descriptive adjectives (i.e. WANTON, WILLFUL, REBELLIOUS, ARROGANT, DIABOLICAL, etc.), but the central problem of humans who refuse to respect and care for each other and live in harmony with all life around them is that they CHOOSE to SIN instead of obeying God by being good stewards of creation.

Whether you want to believe, as I do, that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life, or not, I sincerely hope you can agree that Proft Over People and Planet caused human misery and environmental destruction is SINFUL behavior. You know that human caused environmental destruction has already ushered in the Sixth Mass Extinction and will most likely cause the death of every single human on Earth.

Whether you want to accept any of the wisdom written about the consequences of SIN in the Bible or not, the fact that sinful behavior at the present planetary scale causes death is irrefutable.

The WAGES OF SIN (i.e. rejecting God's Comandment, written in every human soul, to respect and care for each other and live in harmony with all life) IS DEATH.

Quote
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

God is not mocked.

Quote
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. Revelation 11:18

SNIPPETS:

As the pace of global warming kicks into overdrive, the hollow optimism of climate activists, along with the desperate responses of some of the world's most prominent climate scientists, are preventing us from focusing on the survival requirements of the human enterprise.

The environmental establishment continues to peddle the notion that we can solve the climate problem.

We can't.

We have failed to meet nature's deadline. In the next few years, this world will experience progressively more ominous and destabilizing changes.  These will happen either incrementally -- or in sudden, abrupt jumps.

Under either scenario, it seems inevitable that we will soon be confronted by water shortages, crop failures, increasing damages from extreme weather events, collapsing infrastructures, and, potentially, breakdowns in the democratic process itself. ... ...

This slow-motion collapse of the planet leaves us with the bitterest kind of awakening. For parents of young children, it provokes the most intimate kind of despair.  For people whose happiness derives from a fulfilling sense of achievement in their work, this realization feels like a sudden, violent mugging. For those who feel a debt to all those past generations who worked so hard to create this civilization we have enjoyed, it feels like the ultimate trashing of history and tradition. For anyone anywhere who truly absorbs this reality and all that it implies, this realization leads into the deepest center of grief.

JESUS WARNS OF FINAL POLLUTION, LAST PLAGUE, ALIEN INVASION & TASTE OF HELL IN REV 9

DTBM 273K subscribers

Jesus is the Author of Hell, the Preacher of Hell, and the One who threatens humans with endless hell fire’s torments.

The conclusion that anyone who reads the New Testament Gospels can only be: Jesus believed there was a literal Hell, Jesus warned of a literal Hell, and Jesus threatened humans with eternal conscious torment in a furnace of fiery wrath from an Almighty and Holy God. Bottom line:

Jesus Authenticates Hell’s Horrors

Jesus speaks more of Hell than anyone else in the Bible, and more than all the Scripture writers combined. He also describes Hell’s horrors, and does so in more terrifying terms than all the Old Testament Prophets & Judges, and the New Testament Apostles combined.

The Hell Jesus repeatedly and vividly describes was not some earthly condition of great pain or suffering to be endured; nor was it some temporary place of purging sins.

Jesus boldly warned of a place of “unquenchable fire” (Mk. 9:43), where humans would be tormented in the next life (Luke 16:28), and where they would wail and gnash their teeth forever as they endured “eternal punishment” (Mt. 25:30, 46).

Jesus threatened people with Hell from start to finish in His ministry. If He had not, it probably would have been easy for us throughout the centuries to think the Apostles & Prophets may have gotten it wrong. Eternal, conscious, endless torment is impossible to think about clearly. It revulses our sense of reasoning, overpowers our mental processing, deadens our sense of understanding, and then overloads us.

Hell is real, horrible, and very much a topic for Christ's ministry.  Before we launch into the vivid lessons in Revelation about Hell, we will travel through the best source on the topic. Jesus Christ is the supreme authority on Hell. He is also the clearest and most profuse teacher on the topic. No other writer of Scripture speaks as often, or as deeply on the doctrines of Hell that our Lord Jesus Christ.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Matt 10:37

Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:

0:00 - Introduction

1. 0:29 {Why Didn’t Jesus Mention Paul?} Hello, I am a Christian, and it's been important to me to understand why the Lord Jesus didn't mention to the apostles or anyone that Paul would be coming to enlighten the Way for His Church. This question hasn't been addressed in any of the studies I've researched, nor by any of the pastors I listen to. But isn't this question a most serious matter, since Paul wrote the majority of our New Testament?

2. 6:45 {Is God Male?} Is God a male?

3. 10:08 {About the Woman of Tekoa & Banishing} How can someone be banished, and yet not cast out from God? I’m referring to what the woman of Tekoa said in 2 Samuel 14: 14. Is it only within that context, or can it be applied transcendently?

4. 17:34 {About OCD, Vows, & Fear} I’ve been struggling with OCD vows recently (such as, if I don’t say this in prayer, I’m not saved). Many places online say to let it go, and that you can’t make a vow out of fear. How can I look at this biblically?

5. 22:39 {Are Souls Eternal?} Is the soul as an eternal entity more of a Greek philosophical idea, or confirmed in Scripture? Do you have any biblical references for an eternal soul?

6. 25:20 {Did Anyone in “The Flood” Go to Heaven?} Do you think any of the people that died in the flood (above the age of accountability) may have been saved or will not go to Hell?

7. 29:01 {About Natural Revelation & Salvation} You've said people who've never heard of Jesus need to respond to natural revelation to be saved. Can you give an example of how a woman growing up in Saudi Arabia would respond to natural revelation?

8. 33:55 {About the “Mysteries of God” in Ephesians} Please explain what is meant by the mysteries of God in Ephesians 3:5.

9. 38:09 {About the Beginning of the New Covenant} Did the New Covenant start when the Temple, which housed the Ark of the Covenant, was destroyed?

10. 44:07 {About Miracles & False Religions} You've said miracles in other religions are false signs from Satan. Why would other religions have reason to think these signs are from Satan? Couldn't a Muslim say the same thing to a Christian?

11. 48:47 {Do We Have to Attend Church?} Is it OK to not attend church at all? I live in Russia and Christianity here is very unbiblical. I’ve tried a lot of churches and I don’t feel comfortable there.

12. 50:53 {Is it a Sin to Depict God?} I’m a new believer. I watched a Christian cartoon with my son, and it depicted God as a Santa-looking man. My son asked if we were breaking the 2nd commandment. Is it a sin to depict God in any way? (Exodus 20:4)

13. 56:07 {Do those who Seek God Really Find Him?} The Bible says that those who diligently seek God will find Him. What about the Muslims, Hindus, and all the people who are diligently seeking God but never find Jesus and stay in their religion?

14. 1:02:31 {Does God Forgive Repeated Sin?} If you struggle with sin and there is true contrition but you still keep repeating the same sin and asking for forgiveness, will God still forgive you?

15. 1:05:59 {Advice for the Timing of Baptism} I recently converted to Christianity. Our church does baptisms once a year, but my husband has Covid and can't attend. I want him to be there, but I also want to get baptized ASAP. What should I do?

16. 1:07:12 {About a “Gap” in Scripture} Can you explain the gap between the early churches in the New Testament and the first Protestants like Martin Luther?

17. 1:11:32 {Men of Valor Living in Sin?} Why does the Lord call Gideon a mighty man of Valor when he had many wives? Was this always a sin? I'm confused about this, honestly.

18. 1:16:59 {Where Does Sin Nature Come From?} If God knits us in our mothers’ wombs, where do we get our sin nature?

19. 1:19:54 {Defending the Trinity in 1 Cor.} I believe in the Trinity, but there is someone who has used 1 Corinthians 15:28 against the doctrine. Could you please explain this for me?

20. 1:23:18 {About Young Ambassadors Living for Christ} How can young people be good ambassadors for Christ when we also sin? How do we make sure we do not conform to this world?

Taking your questions from the YT live chat! Every Friday at 1pm Pacific time. While I don't pretend to know all the answers I hope to offer some thoughts that will help you in the direction of thinking biblically about things.

Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:

0:00 - Introduction

1. 0:29 {About the Satanic Temple’s 7 Tenets} The Satanic Temple has been gaining popularity online due to their “7 tenets” they believe people should live by. Many people see these tenets as positive and morally good, and are being drawn into their organization as a result. What are your thoughts about this?

2. 13:31 {Does Isaiah Disprove the Trinity?} Does Isaiah 9:6 disprove the Trinity since it calls Jesus the Father? many Oneness/Unitarians use this verse to support Oneness/modalism.

3. 18:19 {About our Souls/Spirits} What exactly is a soul or a spirit?

4. 20:14 {Biblical Dating Advice} What things should a high school student consider while deciding if or how to date a godly woman?

5. 23:17 {Should we Always Say “God Willing”?} What does James 4: 13 mean? Should we always say “God willing” when making or talking about our plans?

6. 27:03 {About the “Doctrines of Demons”} Can you give more examples about the “doctrines of demons” mentioned in 1 Timothy 4:1?

7. 32:27 {About Becoming a Disciple} How do you become a disciple in light of Matthew 28: 19? Can you be unsaved yet still a disciple? I haven’t found the Greek word (μαθητευω) elsewhere. Seems to normally be μαθητης (ex. Acts 11: 29; 19: 30; 21:4, 16).

8. 35:12 {When we Should and Shouldn’t Witness} How do we know when to speak up about the truth of Christ vs. when not to? I am grieved by what I see being claimed as “truth” today, but I don’t want to just sit back and say “I’m not supposed to judge.”

9. 40:11 {About the Fear of God and Dinosaurs} Does the "fear" of the Lord mean "scared"? If not, why is "fear” still used in today’s Bibles? Translation problem? Confused here! And were dinosaur bones/fossils created by the devil to cast doubt?

10. 44:42 {About Denominations} Do you think denominations are a “concession” from God in that He knew we would disagree on doctrine, or is it more like differing members of the body reaching different people in different ways?

11. 48:58 {Responding to Mormon Arguments} What is your best answer to a Mormon responding to "There is only ONE God" by saying "Yes, only one God for US. Only one God we are to worship & that’s OUR Heavenly Father but there are others elsewhere"?

12. 55:29 {What is the Mark of the Beast?} What is the mark of the beast as described in Revelation 13? I’ve heard and read so many things, and I’m not sure how to make sense of it.

13. 1:03:47 {Is it Biblical? Jesus in our Hearts} Do we have "Jesus in our hearts" as believers? What about worship songs about Jesus in the room? John 16:5-10, Acts 1:9-11 and basically all of Revelation seems to say Jesus is in Heaven for now.

14. 1:08:43 {Why did God Allow our Sin Nature?} Frank Turek said (paraphrasing) that in Heaven we will have free will, but we won't sin because we won't have a sin nature. If that's the case, why didn't God just make us like that on Earth?

15. 1:13:49 {How to Comfort Grieving Friends} I lost a good friend of over 20 yrs. He was recovering from a heroin addiction. He called his parents saying he couldn't take it anymore and he shot himself. What can I say to comfort them?

16. 1:16:28 {Learning about Biblical Heroes} Some biblical characters are heroes in the faith, but not mentioned much in the Bible (people like Enoch and Melchizedek). How can I find out more about what was so special about their relationship with God?

17. 1:19:31 {About Christ’s Return} Why did Jesus mention eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, and getting married in Luke 17?

18. 1:25:09 {About the Day of the Lord} How do you interpret the “day of the Lord”? Do you understand it as a single day, or do you see it as the whole tribulation period? People seem to have differing views on this.

19. 1:26:33 {About the Vine & Branches, Eternal Security} Just wanted clarity on John 15:1-8. Is Jesus talking about people losing their salvation? Or people walking away from Him and the faith?

20. 1:31:37 {About the LE of Mark} You've said that we should leave in the longer ending of Mark's Gospel because removing it could upset some Christians. If this is so, then should we be including things like the Comma Johanneum because removing that has upset some Christians? Where do you believe we should draw the line, and why?

Here's that video giving a biblical evaluation of suicide.

REVELATION'S PREVIEW OF THE ANTICHRIST'S FINAL GLOBAL PERSECUTION OF BELIEVERS

A Short History of Early Church Persecution

I’d like to give you a sanctified mind’s analysis of Church History: something that they could never get on Google.

The reason I share with you the background details of each passage we study is to show it to you through the lens of Scripture, and with my own lifetime analysis of these facts, what is vital to increase our understanding. That is actually one of the elements of expository preaching, which is my lifelong pursuit.

Church History records three notable waves of persecution from the Roman Emperors:

Wave #1: Emperor Nero (54-68 AD) This persecution was sporadic and limited mainly to Rome, sweeping up Paul and Peter to execution.

Wave #2: Emperor Domitian (81-96 AD) This persecution was wider than Nero’s, across some of the Roman Empire’s provinces, and hitting both the church at Smyrna and exiling John to Patmos.

Wave #3: Emperor Diocletian (284-305 AD) This persecution was the greatest of any Roman Emperor against Christ's Church. Diocletian, who was one of the most administrative of all Rome’s rulers, began a systematic purge of Christianity, through an Empire-wide eradication of the Church, and he almost succeeded.
