I've been looking into the Epstein thing. The guy is connected to our fascist "Intelligence" Agency goons. That certainly does not surprise me. That is, after all, what fascists in NAZI Germany did for "entertainment". After (and BEFORE) WWII ended, a lot more fascists than a few German Rocket Scientists were transferred to the USA (and South America AND Europe, particularly Italy).

We are reaping the repugnant, society corrupting fruits of that ever since. Once these criminal perverts get connected to the police state elements, the laws are bent into whatever shape pretzel is necessary to keep them out of prison.

Take our spook Attorney General Barr (former CIA "lawyer" under Bush Daddy), for example. When you study his history, you learn that he is the SECOND generation of fascist SPOOKS in his family. His Daddy was OSS. You know, that very same OSS that started getting high powered (i.e. fortunes in GOLD needed to resurrect fascism after Hitler - SEE: Anderson "Trust") NAZIs out of Germany well before WWII ended and Operation Paperclip got going.

I'm sure you've heard of that fine fellow, Henry R. Luce, who had NINE wives along the way, who was (I think he died recently) key to making the Mainstream American News Media the handmaiden of the "Intelligence agencies" (i.e. the CIA). He came from exactly the same fascist cesspool as the Bush clan, the Dulles brothers, Kissinger and Theodore Shakley (the American CIA Fascist who set up NAZI havens, drug cartels and assassination squads in South America).

The point is that that Epstein has not been punished for his cruel, life destroying sexual predation of young women, and never will be punished for continuing to engage in these evil acts at every opportunity, BECAUSE too many "connected" people in power, and those in the SPOOK agencies that own them, support this despicable behavior and ROUTINELY engage in to as a matter of favored fascist "entertainment".

It's not a chicken or egg thing; it's a "go together like a horse and carriage" thing. Find a Fascist and you will find a Criminal Pervert. Find a Criminal Pervert and you will find someone who would love to work in an "Intelligence" Agency where their crimes (of all sorts, not limited to cruel abuse of young people) are never disclosed due to  "National Security Concerns".

I agree with you enthusiastically if not happily. You have it correct.

Some opine that Epstein is just another "garden variety sex offender." Not sure we have seen the like of Epstein, who has already gone through several lives. For all intents and purposes, while indulging his taste for pedophilia, has for all intents and purposes run a honeypot operation spanning decades and including high rollers and the odd president. Acosta said he was waved off in the plea deal, being told that Epstein "belonged to intelligence." Whose intelligence, no one is saying. And whether or not that is true, no one knows. Yet.

Whether its our "guys" or Mossad is irrelevant at the end of the day.

As someone who is quoted in one of the copious stories written said, "It's hard to make a billion dollars in secret." Yet no one in hedge find circles knew of him, had traded with him, or knew anyone who had. Yet someone was paying for his lifestyle. Billionaires and politicos buying decades of silence?

On the Diner Forum, I posted a thread by Twitter user by Quantian that lays out a likely scenario for Epstein's scheme that ticks off all that we know to be true. I will adduce it here:

So, apologies in advance, but I want to do a quick little THREAD to explain my theory of what the Epstein story really is. I promise this isn't some crazy Pizzagate conspiracy about space lizards, just a neat little explanation that IMO perfectly fits the known facts (0/13):

(1/13) Let's take as our starting points two givens.
(A.) You are a committed, unrepentant ****
(B.) Because of your old job in private banking, you are very connected to lots of very, very wealthy people
We'll also assume a goal:
(Z.) You want to become very rich

(2/13) The obvious route is, well, obvious: you could just be a pimp, offering underage prostitute services to very rich people. This has two problems: you're very disposable (see: DC madam), and it's also not super lucrative. You can't charge millions of dollars up front.

(3/13) The second level though follows instantly: You don't need to charge up front, just get them to have underage sex, and then blackmail them afterwards for hush money. Better ROI, but you're still a liability, and producing and receiving big bribe money raises big questions.

(4/13) So, what to do? Well, the second idea has some merits. First, you need to recruit people in. Have lots of massive parties at your spacious home (check), invite top academics, artists, politicians to encourage people to come (check), and supply lots of young women (check)

(5/13) You don't even have to do anything, and most people invited might even be totally unaware of the real purpose of the parties! But, sooner or later, some billionaire will get handsy, she'll escort him to a room with a hidden camera, things happen. Morning after, you strike.

(6/13) You inform him she was really 15, but you offer him a nice, neat way to buy your silence: a large allocation to your hedge fund, which charges 2/20 (check). To ensure nobody else asks questions, you also take the extraordinary step of demanding power of attorney (check)

(7/13) The fund is offshore in a tax haven (check) and nobody will see the client list (check). Of course, you don't really know anything about investing, instead making up some nonsense about currency trading (check), and nobody on Wall Street has ever traded with you (check)

(8/13) The fund itself doesn't need investment personnel (check), only some back office people to process the wires (check). You don't want to money from non-****, or they'll notice you've just put it in a S&P 500 fund, so you reject all incoming inquiries (check)

(9/13) A $20 million wire from Billionaire X to you with no obvious reason will raise many questions, and the IRS will certainly want to know what you did to warrant it. A $5 million quarterly fee for managing $1 billion in assets? Nobody bats an eye.

(10/13) Because of this structure, you're extraordinarily secretive about client lists (check) because they aren't clients, they're **** paying you bribes, and they also are very secretive, which is why no letters or return streams ever leak (check)

(11/13) Occasionally you may also try this trick on other people: important political figures, mayors, prosecutors, etc. They don't invest in the fund, but it's nice to have them in your pocket. Others (academics, artists, etc.) can just be bought with money as a PR smokescreen.

(12/13) And, of course, the scam can be kept going as long as people are willing to pay, which is forever. If you're ever caught, just lean on some of your other friends in government to lean on the prosecutor to get you a sweetheart deal. There's almost zero risk.

(13/13) And the last piece of the puzzle is the evidence. You'd want it somewhere remote, but accessible: a place the US can't touch but you have an excuse to visit all the time to update. Remember that offshore fund?

I bet there's a *very* interesting safe deposit box there.
Two small points of clarification:
1. This scheme works just as well if the billionaires are in on it from the getgo as a way to buy sex; I assumed that was obvious but I guess not.
2. There’s no need to invoke the Mafia/Russia/Mossad/CIA/etc, that’s just needlessly overfitting.

Epstein is not a garden variety pedo, if such a thing exists. **** deserve the coolest, slowest-cooking reaches of Hell such that their suffering might be amplified. This is a man who ran a network for high rollers and the connected. Whether or not we will ever know the "truth," or what passes for it, remains very doubtful. We've seen this act before-- remember the Franklin affair and cover-up? Those bastards literally got away with murder. John DeCamp and the investigators got steamrollered with money, and even the FBI got involved on the side of those accused: they did stop an America’s Most Wanted series which featured the Franklin case. Most charges were dismissed.

This **** has been going on for generations and the perpetrators are shielded from consequence because their clients run the governments involved.

Excellent post. 👍👍👍

The book on the NAZI bankers/industrialists/spook agencies modus operandi before, during and after WWII, "All Honorable Men", has educated me on the nauseatingly predictable activities of this elite SCUM. Though they are fiercely loyal to each other, they have absolutely no moral compass whatsoever. These people lie as a matter of habit, not just convenience.

Their 'might equals right' religion justifies any action, no matter how perverted or illegal, as long as the usual result is an increase in power and money. A big part of the "fun" for them is suckering people. Making fools of those they consider 'lesser mortals' is one of their greatest joys in life. They don't advertise that in public of course, but a careful study of their reactions when cornered exposes how their arrogant sense of entitlement is fed by getting away with serial Mens rea Actus reus.

It's like they are driven, not only to abuse other humans, but to ENJOY doing it, because, somewhere along the line, they became convinced that they themseves would be labelled "untermensch" if they "lacked sufficient aggressiveness" in life. They absolutely DESPISE humility in human affairs, though some of them will do their level best to fake it (SEE: Pence, Hagee, Pat Robertson).

Pope "Pius" XII was instrumental in helping NAZIs get out of Germany before WWII ended. They were dressed as monks or priests and hidden in monestaries until the OSS could get them to South America.

When people got all surprised about the immoral sleaze in the Vatican that was exposed a few years ago, I pondered the historical fact of the success of these perverts to stay out of the public eye for so long. Even when exposed, the incidents are treated as an "anomalous rotten apple in the Holy barrel".

I simply cannot unlink them from the fascist elite cursing this planet everywhere. They would NOT get away with so much sexual predation if the media/spook police state arm of the top dog fascists was not defending them.

This quote from the book, "All Honorable Men", pretty much sums up WHY these SCUM enjoy such a corrosive influence on human society:

Quote
Termites are able organizers, and thoroughly attached to their way of life. The area they occupy is small in relation to the house (just the heavy underpinnings). They object vigorously to outside interference from the people who live in the other parts of the house. They object especially to structural changes, which they are bound to consider unwarranted.

They have two good reasons for objecting to changes. In the first place exposure to light and air kills them. In the second place any movement of the underpinnings ruins the whole structure of tunnels and channels which their enterprise has built within the framework of the house.

We hated to disturb them. They looked busy and enterprising. They seemed to want nothing more than a comfortable existence in accordance with their way of life.

We cleared the termites out to save the house, but I think I know how they looked at the whole matter. At the end of the Second World War I spent two and a half years in Germany dealing with some people who must think pretty much the same way. http://renewablerevolution.createaforum.com/geopolitics/key-historical-events-that-you-may-have-never-heard-of/msg12774/#msg12774

Yup, the old, "Go back where you came from." trick. If you are a minority and/or of the "wrong" color in the USA, this is par for the course. From being a plebe at West Point, to ATC work at Syracuse Tower in New York, to the parking lot booth I worked at the airport in Burlington, to 🕷 Eddie, 🐉 Karpatok, et al at the Doomstead Diner, I know all about it.

There are variations to that 'You don't belong here' theme (You are a guest in this country - You should be more grateful - Why did you come here? - How come you people breed so much? - How long have you been gaming the system?, etc., Ad nauseum) that, of course, always avoid mentioning the fact that the one delivering the 'witty snark' comes from a long line of European invaders to Turtle Island. As 'good old 🕷 Eddie', the proud WHITE Dentist from Texas, would say, "White guilt, I do not DO. ".

Anyone with critical thinking skills recognizes that Mr. Trump is dispensing with the dog whistle and going full in-your-face "Southern Strategy" NOW because he feels cornered by some "setbacks on the census issue" and needs to start earlier than planned to get his base fired up against 'libruls'.

But, there is more going on here than racist button pushing to get bigots all emotional so they stop looking at their empty wallets under Trump. Yeah, there is that, sure, but Trump is trying to hide something far more damaging to him.

A key part of the Trump volume raising is the fact that he does not want his history with 🐍 Epstein to get discussed by too many people.

One other bit of skullduggery going on TODAY is the methodical disempowering of comment period access by we-the-people in regard to EPA proposals  :o >:(. If a Democratic Adminstration was engaging in that bit of fascist skullduggery, it would be all over the news.

The Trump noise level is always part of a strategy to distract from some skullduggery his wrecking crew is engaging in.

Yesterday, before I learned Trump 🦀 did his 'go back where you blackies came from' thing, I made the following comment after reading an excellent article. I believe it is appropriate to post it here. I hope it triggered some critical thinking among Trumpers, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen. It's not that I am jaded; it's that I am an experienced observer of my fellow Americans, particularly those who fancy themseves as 'better/superior/smarter/cleaner/civilized' because they are WHITE.

👍👍👍 This is an excellent, truth filled article. Though most people do not possess the impressive intelligence of Annie Easley, her tenacity and grit is an inspiration to all objective humans.

The 😈 privilege hogging bigots that have cursed this country from the start lack any objectivity whatsoever. They go out of their way to hide the accomplishments and brilliance of scientists like Annie Easley.

For example, the scientist who invented "bean soup", the Navy term for a chemical that quickly put out fires on U.S. ships during WWII, thus saving thousands of lives in the process, is NOT mentioned in WWII history documentaries (the exception was a 2007 PBS documentary, but the name of that documentary, "Forgotten Genius", neglects to point out the FACT that he was DELIBERATELY "forgotten" by those who write "sanitized" history in the USA). Percy Julian's name does not even appear in most history books of this period.

Percy Julian was one of the best Organic Chemists of the 20th century.

SNIPPET:

During WWII the Navy used a foam to put out fires of oil and gasoline. This foam was called Aer-O-Foam, and is still made today by Kidde Fire Fighting. The foam is made from soy protein and water, mixed and then aerated in a nozzle. The foam smothers the fire, coating the oil and preventing oxygen from getting to it. Seamen called the mixture ‘bean soup,’ since it was made from soybeans.

National Foam System (today owned by Kidde) got a sample of the soy protein from the Glidden Company in 1941. Glidden employed an organic chemist named Percy Julian, who had devised a way to separate soy protein from soybean meal. Glidden hired Julian in 1936 because of his resume, and because he was fluent in German, having done his dissertation work in Austria. Glidden had just purchased a modern solvent extraction plant from Germany, and needed someone to supervise the extraction of oil from soybeans, and the production of coatings, solvents, and glues from soy products. Percy Julian was very happy to have the job, having been refused work at DuPont (because when he arrived they realized he was black), and at the Institute of Paper Chemistry (because the town where it was located didn’t allow black residents). ...

... When Glidden gave up pharmaceutical work in 1953, Julian left the company and started his own. At the time he was being paid $50,000 a year (about $440,000 in today’s dollars).

Percy Julian’s later life was a mixture of success and obstacles. His company was fairly successful, and he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences (in 1973, on the second African American in the Academy).

On the other hand, he faced continued discrimination. For example, in 1950, when he moved his family into a ‘nice’ neighborhood in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago, someone fire-bombed the house on Thanksgiving Day.

Later that year someone tossed dynamite into their house.

If you think this heinous racist violence has "gone away", you do not understand Trump, his Cabinet's 🐍 "Plans and ☠️ Programs", and his Racists 'R' US enthusiastic base.

You see, there are way too many Americans that long for their privileged 'abuse of the other' past. Trump and his supporters have read the Constitution. They know that when the founders wrote "We the people", they meant "We the WHITE People".

Yes, they also excluded non-propertied white men and all women along with all other humans. Anyone that tries to bring that bit of nuanced BALONEY up is deliberately attempting to get readers to ignore how destructive to modern society the version of Gestapo Racism that Trump Champions IS. You are a FOOL if you think Trump is going to save your white bigoted arse. Your "enjoyment" of the increased violent racism under Trump and his wrecking crew will not feed your family or educate your children. Living on HATE and ABUSE of the "other" is the only "job" Trump wants you to have.

The following was written January 21, 2017. The prediction that the entire social contract that has been laboriously built up by people of good will since the time of FDR up to and including civil rights gains for people of color and healthcare for all Americans during the LBJ Administration would be deliberately and methodically destroyed piece by piece, is coming to pass

EPA Protects Polluters, Not People

The Trump administration is preparing to roll out a proposal that would remove communities' ability to officially contest decisions regarding how much pollution can be released by local power plants and factories, the New York Times reports.

A draft plan, which sources tell the Times could be made public next week, would eliminate individual and community ability to appeal power plant permits to the EPA's Environmental Appeals Board, while preserving the right of plant owners to appeal to the board to increase pollution limits. "This is outrageous," Harvard environmental law professor Richard Lazarus told the Times. "Individuals in communities will lose a way to seek relief from pollution that has historically been very effective. But  industry will still be able to seek relief to pollute more." R a p e accusation against 🦀 Donald Trump comes roaring back into focus

Robert Harrington | 11:50 pm EDT July 15, 2019

Palmer Report » Analysis

Let’s get a couple of things straight right off the bat. First, when an adult male has sex with a child it’s not abuse, it’s not molestation, it sure as hell is not prostituiton, it’s r a p e. Child r a p e. If we’re going to discuss one of the world’s ugliest crimes, we’re going to define it with one of the world’s ugliest words. Second, a child is not a prostitute by definition. Prostituiton is a victimless crime, an economic exchange for sex between adults. When a child is involved it’s r a p e. Period. This is my article, them’s my rules.

When federal agents raided the home of serial rapist, pedo-phile, predatory monster and punk Jeffrey Epstein, they found a stomach-churning landmine of photographs and videos. Every room in Epstein’s house of abomination contains CCTV. Epstein is known for stockpiling videos of famous people in compromised positions with young women, so somewhere in there may be a 1994 video of Donald Trump r a p i n g a 13 year old girl.

In the run up to the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump was sued by his victim, identified in court documents as Jane Doe to protect her identity. Her lawsuit includes depositions by two extemporaneous witnesses, one, an employee of Epstein’s and the other a personal friend of the plaintiff. Both acknowledge that the plaintiff informed them in 1994 that Trump r a p e d her. Extemporaneous witnesses make a case against a plaintiff much stronger, because it proves that the allegation is not newly-minted, but has a history that goes back to the incident.

This lawsuit against Trump was dropped in December of 2016 because of the death threats the victim received, death threats that managed to penetrate the elaborate legal web of secrecy surrounding the victim. Clearly, someone very powerful wanted that suit dropped.

Trump has distanced himself from Jeffrey Epstein, of course, as he has done with every scumbag he’s ever known who faces a long stretch in prison, by itself a shockingly large and ever-growing number. But Trump’s biographer tells a different story.

Tim O’Brien, author of “TrumpNation,” said, “When I worked on my book about Trump, Trump regularly talked to me about Jeff Epstein, and he felt they had lifestyles that were in synch.

O’Brien thinks there’s a good chance the FBI may find a tape of Trump raping the 13 year old girl. He said, “She withdrew her claim because she got death threats, so the White House says her claims were baseless,” but, “That can be tested very quickly.”

Today Trump’s victim is in her 30s. She came forward in 2016 as an act of enormous courage, because she did not want to see this monster become president. The courage she displayed is of exactly the same caliber as the young men in Boston who came forward and identified the Catholic priests who r a p e d them. She deserves to enjoy the same credit for bravery, the same credulity, and, above all, the same freedom from demands of why she didn’t come forward sooner, that they did.

Items 10 and 11 of the original court complaint against Epstein and Trump are reproduced below. I warn the reader that the contents may be quite upsetting. If you do read it nevertheless, then, while you’re reading it I want you to remind yourself of two things: first, that the probability that the incident as described is overwhelmingly likely to be true, and second, that the man committing this abomination is now the president of the United States.

10. Defendant Trump initiated sexual contact with Plaintiff at four different parties. On the fourth and final sexual encounter with Defendant Trump, Defendant Trump tied Plaintiff to a bed, exposed himself to Plaintiff, and then proceeded to forcibly r a p e Plaintiff. During the course of this savage sexual attack, Plaintiff loudly pleaded with Defendant Trump to stop but with no effect. Defendant Trump responded to Plaintiff’s pleas by violently striking Plaintiff in the face with his open hand and screaming that he would do whatever he wanted. Exhs. A and B.

11. Immediately following this r a p e, Defendant Trump threatened Plaintiff that, were she ever to reveal any of the details of the sexual and physical abuse of her by Defendant Trump, Plaintiff and her family would be physically harmed if not killed. Exhs. A and B.

I read Palmer most every day and am up to speed on "Katie Johnson" and the death threats that got her to abandon her charges during the last campaign season. I am not confident that we'll ever see justice. A society that cares so little for children that it will permit them to be slaughter in a routine manner by madmen with guns is certainly not going to be willing to protect them from pedos. "Collateral damage" for boys being boys, I guess.

This is perhaps the Ur-moral outrage of our times, but people are busy posting funny cat videos. Just another reason this empire is rotting from the inside and will be surprisingly ripe for takeover. Ripe with rot.

Photos on the Surface of the Moon
« Reply #174 on: July 17, 2019, 01:40:33 pm »

Surly,
That's interesting about those photos taken on the surface of the moon. Though the article talks of the culrurally symbolic value of the photos ("Everyman" = the astronaut because you can't see his face), rather than going into what an artistc photographer's mind goes through before he/she snaps a photo, I got to thinking about that process. I'm no expert on photography, but I get that photogroaphers like to frame a shot with some sort of balance and centering symmetry, color blend, contrast which is sharp in one area of the photo and diffuse in another (or many variations like full diffused or full sharp contrast), and so on.

I remember reading way back in the 1970's that black and white photographs were artistically "superior" to color photographs. You know more about this art than I ever will, but I never could wrap my head around that consensus photography expert view about black and white photos. They said that black and white provides superior contrast to color, thereby making black and white photos of more value in the artistic sense. I can see the value of high contrast if you are looking for fine grained detail (e.g. engineering or scientific photography use), but I fail to see the artistic value. That said, I do recognize that a photographer can control the theme/message better with less color distractions. Perhaps that is why the photos on the surface of the moon (which, except for the flag and gold colors here and there, are basically black and white photos) could be considered high in artistic, as well as cultural and historic, value.

I always thought the photos on the Moon were a bit drab due to the barren, lifeless landscape. I think landscape photos on Earth, like the one below, are far more restful to the eye. A photo like this one (or a painting with the same theme) is something I could frame and hang on a wall and never get tired of viewing. While it is true that the landscape below is rather barren, a photo like that one is something you could look at every day and find lots of meaning in (Life's journey, vocation, promise of tomorrow, hanging in there through barren/dry/difficult times, the value of perseverance, etc.). As you can see, the photo is framed symmetrically with your eye drawn aloing the path of the road. The road surface is in stark, but pleasant, contrast to the multihued, but color limited (as in a black and white photo) landscape.

NOTE: I thought the road surface was taking up too much room in the original (see below). It seems to me that the landscape, though peripheral to the attention focusing road, should dominate the color scheme. What do you think?

Why won't the GOP comment on Donald Trump's racist comments?

Conservatives are silent as Trump’s tweet telling women of color to go back to their ancestor’s country amplifies the sort of thing that people like David Duke and the Klan have been saying forever.

It’s just as explicitly racist and fascist as was his “very fine people on both sides” comment.

Now the leader of the Republican Party is not just saying things like this repeatedly, but doubling down on them. Has the GOP now moved so far to the right that this will get Trump re-elected?

Does this mean the end of the American Experiment of the “great melting pot”?
