In essence, the climate is unraveling because the world lit a bunch of dead dinosaurs and ancient plant matter on fire. And it prioritized economic growth and tied said growth to said fire. Trump trying to set up some "Drug cartel" branding demonization excuse to turn our 🦍 Gestapo Jackals loose on the branded group sounds like Nixon's "War on Drugs" trick to pack prisons with (mostly poor American military aged males, with blacks deliberately over-represented) constitutionally legal slave labor.

These fascist bastards never stop trying to recycle tyranny disguised as "law and order reforms". Fascists are different from other types of hellspawn in that fascists always want to make a buck off their cruelty. A careful look at the "law and order" policies of Nixon, Reagan, BOTH Bushes and 🦀 Trump (PLUS Republican legislation that Clinton and Obama happily signed  >:(), exposes this 'profit from cruelty over the targeted group/cohort' morally bankrupt modus operandi. It is what the ideology of ethics free exploition (i.e. CAPITALISM) has ALWAYS been ALL ABOUT, despite all the sophistic legerdemain spewed out there to make this despicable world view seem like and "evolutionary advantage". In reality, this "greed + cruelty for profit equals survival of the fittest" ideology is an evolutionary DEAD END!

As the public outrage against Wall Street backed 🦀 Trumpian fascist impoverishment of the masses through government sponsored fraud grows , so will Wall Street backed fascist efforts to silence them through 👹🎩 oligarchic profit enhancing cruel repression.

Overpopulation Caused Pollution Equals Biosphere DOOM! 😱

Agelbert NOTE: I agree with Kevin Sandbloom 👍, the Black Bear News guy, who has mixed feelings about the article he reads. The article is a good rant that makes several irrefutable points about our present DOOM trajectory. The issue that never seems to be brought up in these rants is what do you do about a battle ship or an aircraft carrier or a Trump Tower or a cruise ship (etc. you get the idea) that pollute, individually, every single day, even without counting the pollution cost involved in building them, more than several million poor, or even middle class, humans in the USA or ChinaFrugal lifestyles that require recycling just about everything are lamentably resisted by most people, but 90% of humans simply are not in the same mega-polluting class as the top 10%, who habitually pollute on Capitalist Bling "principle"!

Of course low to ZERO carbon footprints should be the LAW all over planet Earth. I just do not see that happening until there are no more natural "resources" out there availble for privileged humans to trash for profit. It is quite obvious to anyone paying attention that Homo sap is, barring a massive attitude change by those running this freak show, toast.

Sidney is toast. I did a Google flyover north of Sidney where the 8 fires joined to make the MEGA Fire. There are mansions all over the place bordering the forest areas. If this doesn't make the Australians smell the Catastrophic Climate Change coffee, I do not know what will.

As far back as 40 years ago, Jacques Cousteau warned us that the oceans were dying. TPTB did not listen to the biosphere degradation facts, as usual. >:(

The Epstein Israeli Honey Trap MO facts of life has been a sort of open secret to those of us that studied the matter ever since Mr. Epstein was first exposed. If you look at the members of the Law Firm that defended him over the past decade or so, and how "amazingly" ;) successful they have been in the courts of New York (weekend passes for a sexual predator, "conjugal" ;) visits in jail, by different women, etc.), you see other Israel firsters like Dershowitz (a "Constitutional Scholar" who makes up continuously to defend 🦀 Trump) doing what they despicably do to cover the real purpose of Mossad activity in the USA.

Anyone with critical thinking skills can see that the standing ovation Mr. Netanyahu got in our U.S. Congress some years ago evidences the pernicious effect the Israel "Lobby" has had for several decades (at least!) on the career of U.S. politicians that dare to criticize Israeli fascist murder and mayem, from the 1967 attack on the Liberty to the ruthless land theft mixed with targeted killings and bombings of the Palestinians. This is NOT about American Jews writing op-eds that damage politician futures; this is evidence of a BLACKMAIL MODUS OPERANDI to keep that U.S. money flowing to Israel.

Anyone that thinks Epstein is the only perverted tool the Mossad has in the USA is in La La Land. Anyone that thinks that the power of the Israel "Lobby" in the USA is based mainly on pro-Israel K Street think tank activities involving political campaign hit pieces against those they want out of politics is also in la la land. That's just the excuse they use to crow about their political power. Without the honey trap MO, they would NEVER have gotten away with coercing our politicians to keep voting to approve multi-billion dollar handouts to Israel annually, while studiously looking the other way when Israeli fascists commit still another in a LONG series of war crimes against the Palestinians.

All that said, while the corrupting influence on the U.S. Government of the Mossad with their Honey Traps is significant; it is a relatively small subset of the Profit Over People and Planet Capitalist Ideology that is destroying absolutely everything of material and spiritual value in our country and our leadership.

Senator Bernie Sanders is Jewish. Yet this man, who represents the decidedly LAST CHANCE we (and probably our entire species) HAVE to act, as responsible stewards of God's creation (a tenet intrinsic to JEWISH LAW), with COMMON F'N SENSE, will be mercilessly attacked by the Israel 'Lobby". Yet, no one will dare admit that these attacks on Bernie Sanders by the (fascist atheist) Israel firsters are, by Torah defintion, as ANTI-SEMITIC as you can get. >:(

Senator Sanders, whether he believes in God or not, wants to do what God has always commanded that we all do for each other and the biospshere around us. Those bastards who oppose Bernie Sanders for POTUS, who hypocritically label themselves as "Jews" or "Christians", do not. The remaining Capitalist 1% ELITE SCUM OF THE EARTH are, of course, consistent enemies of God's Will. They are THE overwhelming reason things are FUBAR today.

'

If the Profit Over People and Planet Capitalists succeed in preventing Bernie Sanders from becoming President of the United States, IT IS OVER. Have a nice day.

Thank you for the compliment and your added words of wisdom. You are right. Robert Reich just sent out a letter that inderscores what you just said:

December 8, 2019

Dear Anthony,

We’re coming to the end of what might be called the anti-democracy decade. It began on 21 January 2010 with the Supreme Court’s shameful decision in Citizens United vs Federal Election Commission, opening the floodgates to big money in politics with the absurd claim that the first amendment protects corporate speech.

It ends with Donald Trump in the White House, filling his administration with corporate shills and inviting foreign powers to interfere in American elections.

Trump is the consequence rather than the cause of the anti-democratic decade. By the 2016 election, the richest 100th of 1% of Americans – 24,949 very wealthy people – accounted for a record-breaking 40% of all campaign contributions. >:(

Big corporations and the super-wealthy lavished their donations on the Republican party because Republicans promised them a giant tax cut. As Lindsey Graham warned his colleagues, “financial contributions will stop” if the GOP didn’t come through.

The investments paid off big. Groups supported by Charles and the late David Koch spent more than $20 million promoting the tax cut, which will save them and their heirs between $1 billion and $1.4 billion every year.

The tax cut has contributed to record corporate profits but almost nothing has trickled down. Companies have spent most of their extra cash on stock buybacks and dividends. This has given the stock market a sugar high but left little for average workers.

Such workers have been shafted. Despite the longest economic expansion in modern history, real wages have barely risen. The share of corporate profits going to workers still isn’t back to where it was before the 2008 financial crisis. Never in the history of economic data have corporate profits outgrown employee compensation so clearly and for so long.

The so-called “free market” has been taken over by crony capitalism, corporate bailouts and corporate welfare.

Meanwhile, confidence in political institutions has plummeted. In 1964, just 29% of Americans believed government was “run by a few big interests looking out for themselves." By 2013, 79% believed it. In Rasmussen polls in autumn 2014, 63% thought most members of Congress were willing to sell their vote for either cash or a campaign contribution and 59% thought it likely their representative already had.

Enter Trump.

“Big business, elite media and major donors are lining up behind the campaign of my opponent because they know she will keep our rigged system in place,” he charged at the Republican convention in 2016.

He then rode the rigging all the way into the Oval Office. A second Trump term could make the anti-democracy decade a mere prelude to the wholesale destruction of American democracy.

Thanks for reading,

Robert Reich

Good to see Max Blumenthal 👍 beat the (trumped up) rap. I hope he has not been intimidated by these gestapo tactics into not publishing hard hitting truths, as he regularly did before his prosecution. The 🦍 gooberment is an old hand at indirectly silencing people by hounding them through the courts. 😠

The times, they are tragic 😟

Dec 9, 2019

Today is the day that you can officially say the United States has become a Banana Republic. When the president says and is supported by his lackeys like Jordan, Meadows and Rand Paul, that it is OK to knowingly break a federal law by exposing a whistleblower. Then I believe it is impossible for those people to say they support the Constitution. We are a nation of laws. The whistleblower complaint has been verified under oath by multiple people and is no longer open to questioning the facts. It is deeply disturbing the drafter dodger president continues to slander and demean long serving ambassadors and Purple Heart awarded soldiers with no push back from veterans. Inexcusable!

Two of the president’s closest supporters have been proven to lie. Three people have now testified that they told Pompeo that the lady ambassador was being forced out, and he still said with a straight face he did not know about it. The “acting secretary of state,” Ruday Giuliani, has been revealed to have been paid more than $500,000 by a Ukrainian company for advice. He said that is OK, but not OK for Biden’s son? Beyond belief!

When the right complains about the process, they fail to acknowledge that this is the exact same process Trey Gowdy used in the Benghazi hearings and has been validated by a federal judge. I ask why a House Republican who complains as to being shut out did not attend the hearing nor read the transcripts?

Another EPA change allowing more pollution from coal waste appears ready to happen. Air and water standards worsened in 2017 and 2018, dropping the USA into the mid 20s in rankings. 2019 may be the same. What a world we are leaving for our kids and grandkids.

Is McConnell no longer the leader of the Senate and just a messenger boy? There are more than 75 House passed bills he refuses to bring to the floor. Does he just take them to the White House and if told no by the president, trash them?
