If you're not around to unlock all the digital data you take such care to secure, who will be able to access it, and how?

If you're not around to unlock all the digital data you take such care to secure, who will be able to access it, and how?

This is something I've been thinking about for a while. I have a plan, but it's weak.

I hear ya. My plan is based on writing stuff down and hiding it where my wife knows it is hidden in plain sight 😉. Somebody breaking in would eventually find it, but that would take hours. As long as one of us is alive, the cops would get the intruder first ;D. Leo is a tech guy so he probably saves the key password(s) to get to his password program (with all the other passwords) on a flash drive stick hidden somewhere. I'll bet he has two flash drive stick.

He backs up everything constantly so he probably has to update his memory sticks fairly often. Good for him but I don't need to back up a lot of stuff. I just need to keep my important passwords OUTSIDE of the computer. I use those key passwords to do banking and to access the Norton Vault with all the passwords for other places I need passwords for (Power company, etc.). The password I use to get into my Norton password Vault is never stored anywhere on my computer. Since the key passwords are never stored in any computer or in any computer password software, only a keylogger virus could figure out what my important passwords are. Norton Security protects my computer from that. It works for me.

If I have more than 5 minutes available to me before I leave planet Earth, I can clear up any doubts about how to handle all this password stuff to my wife AND make her the Administrator on this computer. If not, she knows how to log in as me on the computer and where all the handwritten passwords stuff is.

As to other fairly important 'Getting affairs in order stuff' like a Will, I am guided by whatever my wife wants. I'm pretty much ready to go whenever God decides I'm done here (Unprofitable Servant 🌞 and all that).
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Matt 10:37

… I was wondering why the elderly are suffering much more from sepsis and cytokine storm during COVID-19 infections. A significant difference in older patients compared to younger patients is their melatonin levels. Another good insight and treatment approach?”

April 2, 2020

Can Melatonin Fight Coronavirus and Sepsis?

Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola – Expert Review by Stephanie Seneff, Ph.D. Fact Checked

Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that's triggered by a systemic infection that causes your immune response to go on overdrive. The resulting cytokine storm response is the cause behind many COVID-19 deaths. Find out how melatonin may be able to save you from septic shock .

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

Melatonin plays an important role in your immune function. It has antioxidant and mitochondrial-protective functions, and has been shown to be effective against various bacterial and viral infections

Melatonin has been shown to reverse septic shock symptoms by decreasing synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines; preventing lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced oxidative damage, endotoxemia and metabolic alterations; suppressing gene expression of nitric oxide synthase; and preventing apoptosis (cell death)

A metabolite of melatonin, 6-hydroxymelatonin, has beneficial effects on sepsis-induced mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress and cytokine responses

Melatonin can also protect against polymicrobial sepsis, i.e., sepsis caused by more than one microbial organism. In this case, melatonin appears to offer protection by having an antibacterial effect on white blood cells called neutrophils

The inflammasome NLRP3 is a key culprit in acute respiratory distress syndrome and acute lung injury, both of which are potential outcomes of COVID-19 infection. Melatonin inhibits the activation of NLRP3 inflammasomes, thus offering potential protection against infection

Agelbert FULL DISCLOSURE: I'm an over 70 old geezer. I've been taking 3 mg of melatonin before bed for four years now. It is excellent for sleep. This new research makes me feel I might have a fighting chance to make it through the COVID-19 Pandemic . I've got plenty and it is quite cheap and totally benign. I recommend all high risk for COVID-19 caused 🏴 death geezers like me to stock up on melatonin before some greedy bastards out their start price gouging.

"Don't mourn. Organize."

Wendell Potter ✨<Info@medicareforallnow.org>

Here's where we are: Jobless claims are 🚀 skyrocketing as another 6.6 million Americans :o filed for unemployment. Tragically, roughly 2,000 Americans will die every day in April – all because our policymakers failed to prepare and let 💵 profit-driven 😈 corporations run our healthcare system for years.

The market is failing our health infrastructure, but there's reason to hope.

A new Morning Consult poll just confirmed something astonishing:

► In March, support for single-payer health care jumped from 11 points to 20 points

► 55% of voters surveyed support Medicare for All, with only 35% opposed

► 43% of voters said the pandemic makes them more likely to back universal health care plans

► We cannot be paralyzed by the monumental trainwreck before us. As Mother Jones famously put it, "Don't mourn. Organize."

My wife and I take melatonin as a sleep aid. It works wonderfully well, as you note. It has become an indispensable part of our evening ritual.
Best to add some now before it becomes the new toilet paper.

Everything you need to know about making your own face mask

Read moreDoomstead Diner Daily 4/4/20

Agelbert NOTE: I was reading the instructions on a 3M N95 mask I have left over from a 3 mask set I bought over 5 years ago. I used two of them when I got under my manufactured home and wrapped new heat tape around a water pipe. I donned the mask, 3M paper suit and eye protecting goggles I have from my Ultralight flight instructor days to avoid breathing fiberglass insulation fibers. I have one N95 mask left over. That mask will work for my wife, but not for me. WHY? Because, according to the instructions, N95 masks do not adequately filter lung damaging particles when worn over a beard.

3M Particulate Respirator N95
Use Limitations
4. Do not use with beards or other facial hair or other conditions that prevent a good seal between the face and the sealing surface of the respirator

The water droplets that the COVID-19 critters hitch a ride on are even smaller than fiberglass insulation lung damaging fibers. So, if you've got COVID-19 and a beard, the N95 mask will not prevent you from infecting those near you 🥺. AND, said N95 mask won't be able to protect you from breathing in COVID-19 water droplets someone infected spewed near you either. For those with beards, I thought you might want to know.

No, I don't plan on shaving any time soon. I'll just keep doing the social distance thing everywhere. BUT, if I do catch COVID-19, then I'll shave to make sure I can keep from infecting other people.

Yes, I recognize that I could be infected and be asymptomatic. The social distance protocol will keep me from infecting anyone else while I am asymptomatic.

The Governor of Vermont urges everyone to wear a mask when they go out now. He hasn't said anything about beards yet, but considering how popular beards are here, perhaps he thinks discretion is the better part of valor. 😉

At any rate, I expect a lot of men will be shaving their beards off, and staying fastidously clean shaven, this year (Bull market in razors!  ;D).

A Vermonter visits the BANK:

Mr. Bank Security Guard, what are you lookin' at? I'm obeying Governor Scott's COVID-19 infection spread prevention recommendations, like all good Vermonters.

I look at it like this: the mask (of whatever provenance, even a bandanna) is mostly to keep one's spoor and outgassing from infecting others. As to efficacy, some are clearly better than others. If a particle has to pass through a layer of paper to get to you, the chance it might get caught in the paper first before it gets to you is greater than zero. Also, the chance that it will be caught is less than 100%. A mask is likely better than nothing, not perfect but better than nothing.  I'm up for anything that will reduce the likelihood that my wife and I will catch this disease.

Agelbert NOTE: The following is textbook disinformation. The Venezuelan Navy Patrol Boat had hailed the Cruise ship for being unauthorized in those waters. The Cruise ship, nearly EMPTY of passengers, pretended to apologize. When the Venezuelan Patrol boat ordered the Cruise ship, which has a reinforced hull for dealing with icebergs, to go to a nearby port, said Cruise ship proceeded to RAM AND SINK the Venezuelan Patrol Boat. Then, to add insult to injury, the Cruise ship just left! The Venezuelan sailors were rescued by other Venezuelans that had been alerted to their plight.

Now read the series of bold faced LIES below. THIS is how propaganda that starts wars is pushed in our faces. The claim that the Venezuelan Patrol boat did the ramming is laughable, as it is clear from the stills in the video that the Cruise ship did it, no matter how they try to claim otherwise.

In this particular case, the Cruise ship was probably carrying something they did not want anyone to know about, meaning it was about contraband, not war provocation, but the US could pull something like this as a "justification" for war and invasion of Venezuela. >:(

I lined out the lie and put the truth in parentheses in the Orwellian headline below:

Venezuelan Navy Ship SINKS After (BEING RAMMED BY) Ramming Reinforced Cruise Liner In La Tortuga

A Venezuelan naval boat picked and lost a fight with a passenger cruise liner off the country's northern coast this week, ramming it several times before accidentally taking on water and sinking.

Columbia Cruise Services, the owner of the cruise liner, said the Venezuelan crew had fired shots and appeared to be trying to seize the civilian vessel, which was also an icebreaker. It described the move as an “act of aggression in international waters”.

The 122m RCGS Resolute is a luxury liner which sails under a Portuguese flag and is designed for voyages in Antarctica.

The cruise ship, which was carrying 32 crew and no passengers, was idling during maintenance on its way to the Dutch-owned island of Curacao.

Shortly after midnight, the ship was approached by the patrol boat Naiguata which allegedly ordered it to sail for a Venezuelan island, Isla de Margarita.

All 44 members of the naval crew were rescued by the local authorities, but the Spanish-built vessel, which cost $US350m, sank without trace in waters 180m deep.

AGelbert COMMENT: This is TOTAL BULLSHIT. It was the Cruise ship carrying contraband that rammed the Venezuelan boat, you lying bastards! AND, it was the Cruise ship that sailed away and left the Venezuelan sailors to drown. They were rescued by others alerted to their plight.
