Doomstead Diner Daily 11/7/19

Anyone that thinks Epstein and Maxwell did not work for Israel ALL THEIR PERVERTED HONEY TRAP FOR BLACKMAIL MENS REA MODUS OPERANDI CRIMINAL LIVES does not get out much.

No surprise there about Trump rinse and repeating the old "get (fill in the blank) to say Trump is the epitome of righteousness, integrity and so on...".

Trump's vociferous repetitive twitter storm denials that he did the above is also nauseatingly predictable.

Soon most people, rather than barfing at the Trump ethically challenged train wreck, will just turn away from boredom.

Hmmmm. I do believe things are looking up down Virginia way. 👍 I sincerely hope they DESTROY Dominion Energy, a world class polluter and corrupter of politicians ,

However, no matter what progress is made at the state level, if Trump stays in office, all bets are off.

📢 This article clearly shows how destructive to U.S. National Stability the 👹 Fed AND 🦀 Trump championed continuous wealth transfer 💵🎩 up to the morbidly rich is.

Agelbert LAMENT: Many of those great videos I have posted here over the years have been "disappeared" already. Now, the increased corporate truth suppressing efforts to get rid of inconvenient facts may cause even more videos to be "disappeared", using the fascist corporate "improvements" fig leaf legerdemain.

I am certain that videos praising our dear leader Trump, War, the 1%, Wall Street, Republicans and DINOs, present police force practices, the Mainstream Media, Google, Facebook, our loyal servants from the Fossil fuel Industry and Mining corporation practices will not be "disapeared". That does not benefit this forum because I have studiously avoided posting videos like that here. Have a nice (Big Brother is HERE) day.

Their platform, their rules.

I run the DD Facebook page. FB's new reach-murdering, soul-shedding algorithm has destroyed the reach of the page. We were reaching as many as 20,000+ per week. Now it's one per cent of that. The point being similar, to clear the way in people's news feeds for the Breitbarts of the world.

A good axiom to remember is, "If the service is 'free,' YOU are the product."

Agelbert NOTE: I signed. I urge all people of good will to sign Wendler Nosie Sr.'s petition condemning the immoral, racist, and unconstitutional seizure and sale of Oak Flat.

Quote
Hi,

My name is Wendsler Nosie Sr. I'm the former chairman of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and a member of Apache-Stronghold.

Five years ago, powerful politicians knelt at the altar of greed and arranged permits for Resolution Copper, a multinational corporation, to drill and extract copper beneath sacred holy lands of the Apache.

For thousands of years, Apaches have come to Oak Flats to pray. Today, we face the possibility that our holy ground will become a giant crater.

We condemn the immoral, racist, and unconstitutional seizure and sale of Oak Flat.

Oak Flat is one of the most holy places in the Apache religious tradition, likened to how Christians and Jews regard Mt. Sinai. Resolution Copper's plan would create a crater below Oak Flat two miles wide and 1,000 feet deep.

The U.S. Forest Service has moved forward with an environmental impact statement and has refused to consider the Apaches' religious freedom claim, which would stop this destructive mining project. They have declared war on our religion. And a threat to the practice of any religious tradition in the United States is a threat to U.S. Constitution and the religious liberty of all people of faith.

The forces that seek to exploit Apache holy land for profit are the same forces that pass racist voter suppression laws, militarize our borders, deny health care to millions, poison our water, and pretend to promote a "pro-life" agenda. This is why we call for a moral revolution of values with the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.

We denounce this sinful and unconstitutional seizure and sale of Oak Flat.

That's why I signed a petition to US Congress, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate, which says:

" We demand Congress use their powers to intervene and stop the destruction of Oak Flat. We demand Congress return the full rights and religious protections to the Apache of Oak Flat in recognition of their religious freedom. "

Will you sign the petition, too? Click here to add your name:

https://petitions.moveon.org/p/e_iBG_CW4Y0

Thanks!

Victor-Bulmer Thomas: The US Empire is in Retreat

Read more Doomstead Diner Daily 11/10/19

It is good to know my stubborn consistent claim (i.e. the only phone I need is the one connected to a land line) is better for the biosphere than buying a "smart" ::) phone. Gandhi said the following:

My wife and I have always done our best to do that. I am sure that is sine qua non to our happiness in the afterlife. It gives us peace of mind. However, due to the massive wave of selfishness and greed enveloping our species in these times, that has not done SQUAT to make the world a cleaner, safer, better place.

For a time I thought it would. I was wrong. But, that takes nothing away from the validity of Gandhi's words. There is no hope for human civilization as long as people are more concerned with this life than they are with being a success in the afterlife. WHY? Because, as long everything a person DOES is predicated on the probability of a successful outcome in this plane of existence, the only logical behavior is cowardly self interest (i.e. "Might equals Right").

I am past three score and ten. I can tell you that I have had to interact carefully, just to survive, with American Fascists since I was a kid in Kansas. While it is true that most of them branded themselves using other labels (Southerners, Republicans, John Birchers, Libertarians, Capitalists, Supply Siders, Trickle Down "Theory" Proponents, Moral Majority, "Christians" - in name only, Reagan Democrats, etc.), their joy in finding new and "better" ways to single out anyone that wasn't part of the "in crowd" for gratuitous mocking, micro-aggressions, ostracism, orchestrated penury through preventing the hiring of to good jobs, trumped up charges resulting in firing from good jobs, and/or in-your-face cruelty identifies them.

While they are not quite the majority in the USA, they are a significant percentage of the population. They are MOSTLY NOT, as many left leaning people with big hearts claim, confused, uneducated, ignorantly racist or unenlightened; they know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. Evidence of that is their consistent good neighborly care and consideration for those who they consider part of the "in crowd".

They are simply evil, which is another word for coward. Scratch a bully, and just below the surface you'll find a coward.

The American Empire may be in retreat, but EVIL among humans in America (and the rest of the world) is on the march, not retreating.

Jeremy Scahill

November 10 2019, 6:00 a.m.

Quote
ASTRA TAYLOR: "And this is where we do need to take a sort of, cold hard look at what we’re up against."

SNIPPET:

JS: It’s also when you talk about Republicans — and I’ve read some other interviews with you recently — you’ve described the current GOP, but also it’s ideological figures, conservative columnist, pundits and others as being, and this is how you describe it, “tired of democracy and the equality that it demands.” I want you to explain that but at the same time, aren’t they continuing to win?

AT: Oh, yeah, right. Because the thing is, they have power. I mean, this is the thing, this is what the left always says, right, yes, they have money, but we have the many, right? [But] somehow we need to organize. It’s a collective action problem. I think we’re in a really interesting moment. And we’re similar ages and so yeah, we grew up under this neoliberal, end of history hegemony, right, this idea even if we didn’t believe it, but it was there in the ether with capitalism and democracy go together. This is liberal democracy, markets, increased prosperity, lift people up, elections will follow. And that’s it, right? This is the pinnacle of human evolution [and] that marriage is breaking apart.

And we see that in some really positive ways, I think, with the resurgence of socialism as something not only that we can discuss, but it’s actually gaining traction, politically. But what I found when I went out with the film, and I started interviewing people and just talking to people from all walks of life is that young conservatives, people in their early 20s, I just assumed that as Republicans, they would still speak in terms of the link between capitalism and democracy, right? They would still say, hey, markets are democratic. We get to choose. Choosing is good. Choosing is what democracy is all about, and talk in terms of a kind of Reagan freedom of the marketplace kind of rhetoric.

That’s not what I found at all. I found young people who are keenly aware of their own status as an economic and social elite, who recognize — they had no delusions — they recognize that the empowerment of the majority of people would mean that they would lose some of their privilege. They would lose their economic privilege, that they would lose what is essentially the sort of affirmative action that they take for granted. It’s just how the universe should be. And so they mock democracy outright. They mock democracy, they mocked urban centers with their large populations. And they basically said, we don’t want democracy. We want the Electoral College. We want the Senate. We want the Supreme Court. And we want to tell you all what to do with your lives and we do not want you fighting to increase our taxes or fighting for better treatment in the workplace, or fighting to expand the number of refugees and immigrants in this country.

So, that was interesting for me because the gloves are off and conservatives are returning to their aristocratic roots. There was a strange moment, 20th century with the USSR facing off against the United States where it was convenient for capitalists to speak in terms of democracy, to wrap themselves up in that mantle, right. They don’t need it anymore and that’s where we’re at. So if they want capitalism, and they understand that it’s not a democratic framework, then all then I think that radicalizes democracy.

[Crosstalk.]

AT: I’m saying that radicalizes democracy, because it means that we don’t have to pretend that definition, that 20th century definition is the definition. We can say what democracy, it is rule of the poor, right? It is inclusion. It is public decommodified goods. It’s all the things that you rich, privileged ass holes are afraid of and that’s why I think we have to fight more passionately for the idea of democracy. Because for me, and I bet you’re the same as well, it’s like, our democracy in the aughts, like 2001, two, three, four, was such a sold-out word, just taken by George W. Bush, by all of the hawks, claiming to democratize the Middle East when really they were just imposing like, when really they were just engaging in this imperial project and extracting what wealth there was and giving a about the people who actually live there. So democracy actually had this really hollow ring to me. But I think in this context, I think times change and I think we’re in a moment where, yeah, democracy, the radical implications of it are becoming more clear, not just to the left but to the right.

Today's Agelbert conspiracy Theory: Trump (in the last couple of days) retweeted a 9/11 commemoration tweet by Bolton in a seemingly irrelevant retweet, it being that it came after a bunch of tweets that had nothing to do with Bolton or 9/11.

I found that curious, so I asked myself, "What does Trump know about Bolton's involvement in 9/11 (i.e. knowledge of that False Flag Attack AND active participation in the Cover up of it) that could be used to witness tamper Bolton into not spilling the Ukraine Extortion beans on Trump? Idle speculation, perhaps. Now it comes out that Trump just made a statement that  "he released the Ukraine funds onSeptember 11, 2019". This is clearly false. BUT, the 9/11 thread is there....
