Where the World's Unsold Cars Go to Die

In the past several years, one of the topics covered in detail on these pages has been the surge in such gimmicks designed to disguise lack of demand and end customer sales, used extensively by US

That 2014 article you posted, that applies even more today than in 2014, has a truth about car manufacturer insane economics that applies to houses as well.

Quote
The car industry would never sell these cars at massive reductions in their prices to get rid of them, no they still want every buck.  If they were to price these cars for a couple of thousand they would sell them.  However, nobody would then buy any expensive cars and then they  would end up being unsold.  Its quite a pickle we have gotten ourselves into.

All you need to do is replace the wording:

Quote
The BANKS would never sell these EMPTY HOUSES at massive reductions in their prices to get rid of them, no they still want every buck.  If they were to price these HOUSES for a couple of thousand they would sell them. However, nobody would then buy any expensive HOUSES and then they  would end up being unsold.  Its quite a pickle we have gotten ourselves into.

The fact that cars and house prices are consistently overpriced while millions lack adequate transportation and a place to live gives the LIE to the so called "supply and demand" pricing mechanism that allegedly forms the basis of Capitalist economies.

The "pickle" is 🎩 CAPITALISM. It is eating us alive. 🤬
