How Pesticide 😈 Companies ☠️ Poisoned America In 1970 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency was established to “fight a war on pollution,” in the words of President Richard Nixon. But in short order, powerful agrochemical companies weakened — and sometimes completely eviscerated — the agency’s ability to protect human health, wildlife and the environment from pesticides.
