Agelbert NOTE: The Doomstead Diner Forum has been closed for some years now so the front wall of the office image link, and all other image links to the Doomstead Diner, no longer work.
Sand varies quite a bit across the planet. 
The front wall of the office is rammed earth with a foam core..the different colours you see are all the different aggregate pits in our tiny county. When the sun hits it there are purple reds yellows and many variations of brown.bad picture but all I have.
